Artistic Director Daniel Evans today announces the cast for Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice, dramatised by Simon Reade. Tamara Harvey directs Ronke Adekoluejo (Jane Bennet), Leona Allen (Kitty Bennet), Matthew Aubrey (Mr Collins), Michele Austin (Mrs Bennet), Adam Buchanan (Mr Bingley), Grace Chilton (Mary Bennet), Nell Hudson (Lydia Bennet), Isabella Laughland (Elizabeth Bennet), Emma McDonald (Georgiana Darcy),Abigail McKern (Lady Catherine de Bourgh), James Northcote (Mr Darcy), Sam Parks (Sir William Lucas / Mr Reynolds), Royce Pierreson (Mr Wickham), Corinna Powlesland (Mrs Gardiner), Ruby Thomas (Caroline Bingley), Howard Ward (Mr Bennet) and Eleanor Yates (Charlotte Lucas). They will be joined by members of the Sheffield Peoples' Theatre to complete the company.

Nick Payne's new play, The Same Deep Water As Me, is highly relevant, dealing with unpleasant contemporary realities - yet leaves you with an overwhelming sense of hilarity. The Royal Court Theatre cemented its reputation as the leading new writing theatre and hotbed for new talent in the Evening Standard Theatre Awards last night, winning in four categories, including Best Play, Most Promising Playwright, Best Design and the Editor's Award.

According to the BBC, PASSION was named the Best Musical at the 56th London Evening Standard Theatre Awards while Bruce Norris's CLYBOURNEY PARK won the Best Play Award on Nov. 28 in a ceremony at London's Savoy Hotel. Sir Peter Hall was also honored with the Moscow Art Theatre's Golden Seagull Award for his contribution to world theatre while Sir Michael Gambon was awarded the Lebedev Special Award for his contribution to British theatre.

The LES Theatre Awards will be presented by Stephen Fry on Sunday, November 28 at The Savoy Hotel.

London's Royal Court Theatre dominated the nominations for the 2010 Evening Standard Awards, receiving 11 nominations, the most of any London theatre. The Royal Court further cemented its reputation as the writers' theatre, claiming every nomination in both the Best Play and Most Promising Playwright categories. The nominations were spread between six different Royal Court productions.

The Evening Standard Theatre Awards, established in 1955, are presented annually for outstanding achievements in London Theatre. Sponsored by the Evening Standard newspaper, the 2010 Awards will be presented at the Savory on November 28, 2010. The short list of the 2010 nominees will be released one week prior to the ceremony.
