As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark will make its television debut this Friday, September 10, on ABC's 'Good Morning America.' The appearance will feature interviews with the show's composers and lyricists, Bono and The Edge, live via satellite from their European tour, and Tony Award-winning director Julie Taymor, as well as the premiere of a song from the highly anticipated show, performed by its star, Reeve Carney (who portrays Peter Parker/Spider-Man) and his band Carney, live from The Hudson Theatre in Times Square.

Lead producer Michael Cohl today announced the complete cast for SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, which begins rehearsals this morning. Directed by Julie Taymor and featuring a book by Julie Taymor and Glen Berger, and new music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark will begin previews at Broadway's Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street) on November 14, with opening night set for December 21.

With direction by Liz Diamond, the seven-member cast features Kate Arrington as Bea, Kelly AuCoin as Johnny, Mary Bacon as Kitty, Brian Keane as Carl, Joan MacIntosh as June, Quentin Mare as Miles and CJ Wilson as Michael. TACT/The Actors Company Theatre (Scott Alan Evans,Cynthia Harris and Simon Jones, Co-Artistic Directors), the critically-acclaimed company 'dedicated to presenting neglected or rarely produced plays of literary merit,' opens its 17th Anniversary season with The Late Christopher Bean, a sly 1930's comedy by Pulitzer Prize-winner Sidney Howard based upon 'Prenez Garde a la Peinture,' by Rene Fauchois. Directed by TACT Company Member Jenn Thompson, performances began at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Sunday, November 1st, 2009 at 3pm. Opening night was celebrated Wednesday, November 11th at 7:30pm. Performances will continue through Saturday, December 5th.
