The Chicago theatre community will present a wide variety of festive plays, musicals, dance and comedy offerings this Holiday season.  In support, the League of Chicago Theatres will create its annual comprehensive Holiday Theatre Guide that will be available beginning in mid-November at hotels, theaters, events, and destinations across the Chicago area. An updated list of holiday shows with additional details about each production will be available throughout the season at ChicagoPlays.com. Additionally, many holiday shows will be available at Hot Tix, Chicago's local, half-price ticketing service.

Arena Stage presents  Cole Porter's madcap seafaring musical, Anything Goes, with music and lyrics by Porter; original book by P.G. Wodehouse and Guy Bolton, with co-authors Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse; and new book by Timothy Crouse and John Weidman.

Westport Country Playhouse will present the acclaimed musical memoir, "The Pianist of Willesden Lane," from December 5 through December 22.  The production returns to the Playhouse by popular demand after a sold-out run in April 2017. 

Magic Thread Cabaret is proud to welcome back to Indiana for its final act of the 2017-18 season a shining star of New York City and beyond, dancer-singer-actress-choreographer Melissa Schott. The accomplished young artist will present her own cabaret November 16-18, 'Melissa Schott: The Key of Me,' at The Cat Theatre in Carmel the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Christmas time is here… almost. Everyone has a favorite Christmas song and more than likely yours will appear in Sierra Rep's Holiday Jukebox. This production offers something for everyone from Grandma all the way down to the little ones to enjoy. With unabashed holiday schmaltz, Holiday Jukebox will harken back to a time when families crowded on couches to watch hokey TV Christmas specials starring Bing Cosby, Andy Williams, John Denver, and Sonny and Cher. In those hour-long programs, singing stars would display harmless holiday merriment in the form of sentimental songs, silly skits and saccharine moments. The production will feature Emily Gatesman (Intimate Apparel, State Fair), Lucas Michael Chandler (Disney's Beauty and the Beast, A Midsummer Night's Dream), Paul Henry (Irving Berlin's White Christmas), Kelly Ann Dunn (Disney's Beauty and the Beast), Kyle Moses (Sister Act), Brad Bong (Big River, Irving Berlin's White Christmas), and Stefani Potter (The Sound of Music), and more. The production will also incorporate young actors from SRT Jr., Sierra Rep's youth training program.

Celebrate a whole year of holidays in one wonderful musical with the regional premiere of Irving Berlin's joyous HOLIDAY INN, running November 7 through January 6 with a press opening on November 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Marriott Theatre (10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire). Inspired by the 1942 classic film,HOLIDAY INN features a beloved score by one of the greatest songwriters in American history, Irving Berlin. Tony Award nominee Denis Jones (Pre-Broadway: Tootsie; Broadway: Holiday Inn; Broadway/Marriott Theatre:Honeymoon in Vegas) directs and choreographs this Broadway hit, joined by Jeff Award-winning Musical DirectorRyan T. Nelson.

The TEN Tenors, one of Australia's most famous musical exports, return to the WYO Theater on Saturday, December 8 at 7:30pm to perform repertoire from their hit album Our Christmas Wish.  Opening the evening will be a 15 person local choir directed by Suzie Schatz-Hills.  Selections from the Ten Tenors include traditional standards such as 'Joy to the World' and 'O Holy Night,' as well as John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over),' 'Feliz Navidad' by Jose Feliciano, 'White Christmas' by Irving Berlin, and Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You.'  

It's beginning to SOUND a lot like Christmas! "Iowa's Own Pianist" Jim McDonough and his orchestra and singers are set to tour the state this holiday season with a sensational all-new production show benefitting Camp Courageous of Iowa.

Walnut Street Theatre's 2018-19 Independence Studio on 3 season continues with the wacky holiday musical revue, WINTER WONDERETTES. Directed by Richard Parison, the production begins with previews on November 13th, opens November 15th, and continues through December 30th.

From March 9-April 15, 2019, Carnegie Hall presents Migrations: The Making of America, a citywide festival that traces the journeys of people from different origins and backgrounds who helped to shape and influence the evolution of American culture. The five-week festival with more than 100 events will celebrate the many contributions-cultural, social, economic, and political-of the people who helped to build America's culture with musical programming at Carnegie Hall and public programming, performances, exhibitions, and events at more than 70 leading cultural and academic institutions across New York City and beyond.

Under the helm of L&L producer Ted Chapin, the series brings artists from theater and beyond to present original revues featuring award-winning Broadway and cabaret performers illuminating the American Songbook.

Meet the cast of the Paper Mill Playhouse production of Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn, based on the film from Universal Pictures, with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, and book by Gordon Greenberg and Chad Hodge. Performances Wednesday, November 21, 2018, and will continue through Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Paper Mill Playhouse (22 Brookside Drive, Millburn, NJ).

The University of Montana's Theatre & Dance and Music schools are joining to present a holiday classic, Irving Berlin's "White Christmas," to audiences throughout November and December.

If there is a musical theater moment more joyous that what occurs at the top of Act Two in Irving Berlin's White Christmas, then we must respectfully demand it be performed in front of us as quickly as possible. Certainly, we recognize there is much joy to be found in musical theater, but sitting in the audience at Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall - six years to the day we last found ourselves awash in the nostalgia and sentimentality so abundant in this particular holiday favorite - we simply couldn't recall anything more engaging or more entertaining than watching Jeremy Benton and Kelly Sheehan, backed by a cadre of 12 other fleet-footed dancers, tapping their hearts out to "I Love a Piano.'
