Broadway & Film Veteran Eileen Brennan Passes Away at 80

Broadway and film veteran Eileen Brennan has died at the age of 80, her publicist confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter today. The actress passed away in her Burbank home on Sunday, July 28, after a battle with bladder cancer.

Fresh from her choreographing stint at the first London revival of Marvin Hamlisch's 'A Chorus Line,' Baayork Lee, 'A Chorus Line' veteran herself, and a co-founder of the National Asian Artists Project, a non-profit organization that promotes Asian performing artists, presents a fully-staged, fully-costumed adaptation of Jerry Herman's hit Broadway musical 'Hello, Dolly!,' featuring an all-Asian cast led by Rosetta Lenoire Award-winning actress Christine Toy Johnson as Dolly Gallagher Levi, a widowed matchmaker (a role originated by Carol Channing in the 1964 Broadway production).

This musical will be directed by Karen Weber, with associate director Rob Goudy, music director Anita Ruth, and featuring Jennifer Eckes as 'Dot' and Joey Clark as 'Georges Seurat'. BCT's production of Sunday In The Park With George is sponsored by BMO Harris Bank.

Award-winning actress Janie Dee returns to Curve to play the title role in Artistic Director Paul Kerryson's production of Michael Stewart and Jerry Herman's Hello, Dolly! This production reunites Dee and Kerryson following their collaboration on The King and I in 2010. The production opens on Wednesday 5 December, with previews from 30 November, and runs until 12 January 2013.
