'Chinese Coffee' by Ira Lewis is a very idiosyncratic play that has been an actor's favorite since its debut 25 years ago. Al Pacino has championed the piece both on Broadway and in a film which he produced, directed and starred in. The current presentation at The Nyack Village is a real gem and shows vividly why actors are so drawn to the piece.

On The Wind Productions will present a revival of CHINESE COFFEE by Ira Lewis. The production will be directed by Emmy nominee Louise Lasser (Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman; Girls; Bananas on Broadway) starring Obie Award winner Austin Pendleton (My Cousin Vinny, The Diary of Anne Frank on Broadway) and Sean Walsh. Previews begin September 24 with opening slated for September 28 at the Roy Arias Stage II Theater.
Al Pacino Set to Star in HBO's 'KERVORKIAN'

Variety reports that Al Pacino is set to star in the upcoming HBO film, 'Kervorkian' about right-to-die champion Dr. Jack Kevorkian. Barry Levinson is set to direct the film, which will revolve around Kervorkian's construction of his infamous 'Mercy Machine,' his first assisted suicide in the early 1990s and the resulting media frenzy.
