Birmingham Hippodrome will welcome the return of international festival of hip-hop dance theatre, Breakin' Convention - a roof-raising two days of jaw-dropping performances by home grown West Midlands talent alongside world renowned hip-hop artists on Tuesday 20 & Wednesday 21 May. Part of International Dance Festival Birmingham 2014.

Asia Society, PEN World Voices Festival and Performance Space 122 present the New York City premiere of 33 RPM and a Few Seconds, a brave new work by Lebanese theater artists Rabih Mroue and Lina Saneh, as part of the 10th Annual PEN World Voices Festival. A multi-media theater performance devoid of actors, 33 RPM and a Few Seconds reconstructs the final moments of a life after the suicide of a young Lebanese man.

The greatest operatic bass in the world today, Ferruccio Furlanetto, makes his Canadian debut this spring in the Canadian Opera Company premiere of the operatic tale of literature's famous dreamer, Don Quichotte by Jules Massenet. Known for an intensely moving portrayal of the title character, Furlanetto stars in this musically lush and romantic homage to Cervantes' iconic hero, Don Quixote. Don Quichotte is sung in French with English SURTITLES, and runs for seven performances at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts on May 9, 11, 14, 17, 20, 22, 24, 2014.

Saatchi Art today announced a new group exhibition, 'Continental Shift: Emerging Artists From Saatchi Art,' which will open at the Saatchi Gallery in London in April. Following their recent breakout success on America's Got Talent, receiving great accolades from the judges and audiences, Lightwire Theater brings its unique method of storytelling to light at Segerstrom Center for the Arts May 17 at 1:00pm and May 18 at 1:00pm and 3:30pm in Samueli Theater. Burning Coal Theatre Company and the Raleigh Boychoir will present Civil Rights Through Song: A Choral History of Raleigh Through the Civil Rights Era, a performance using choral music, dance and drama to celebrate the Civil Rights Movement of the late 1950s/early 1960s, today, March 13 - 23, 2014. Performance dates are March 13 - 15 and 20 - 22, 2014 at 7:30 pm and March 16 and 23 at 2 pm. Performances will be held at Burning Coal's Murphey School auditorium, located at 224 Polk Street in Raleigh.

In one of its final performances as a full-time dance company, the Boise-based Trey McIntyre Project (TMP) will present the Harris Theater-commissioned Chicago premiere of The Vinegar Works: Four Dances of Moral Instruction. The performance on Thursday, April 3 at 7:30PM will include live musical accompaniment from the young stars of the Music Institute of Chicago. This exciting work, organized and led by the Harris Theater, pairs one of the city's finest cultural institutions with one of the country's foremost contemporary dance ensembles. World renowned American soprano Sondra Radvanovsky returns to the Canadian Opera Company this spring in the ultimate diva role, Queen Elizabeth I, for the COC premiere of Donizetti's Roberto Devereux. The tumultuous final days of the reign of the Virgin Queen are depicted in this powerful drama of show-stopping vocal fireworks, directed by Stephen Lawless and conducted by Corrado Rovaris. Roberto Devereux is sung in Italian with English SURTITLES and runs for seven performances at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts on April 25, 29, May 3, 10, 15, 18, 21, 2014.
