TimesTalks, The New York Times live conversation and performance series, is proud to host a conversation between Pussy Riot's Nadya Tolokonnikova and performance artist Marina Abramovic, moderated by New York Times contributor Melena Ryzik on May 14. The artists will discuss the political aims of performance, the intersection of activism and feminism, and the role of the artist in modern society.

In Bond's latest show, BOYS IN THE TREES, the performer seems particularly interested in exploring what happens when one colors outside prescribed lines of gender---masculinity, in particular---primarily performing songs by men who did just that.

Since the early 1980's, Chris Barrows has been one of the most entertaining and energetic front men in punk rock. A Dutch librarian embarks on a quest to find out who anonymously returned a library book; a travel guide that is 113 years overdue. A clue scribbled in the margin of the book and an unclaimed dry-cleaning ticket then take her on a mysterious adventure that spans the globe and the ages. The librarian, who has never left her native town of Hoofdrop, grows determined to track down the offender. As she travels around the world on her obsessive search, she finds herself on a journey that not only unlocks ancient mysteries, but also moves her to new revelations about her place in the universe.

Tony Award-winning actor, director and writer John Cameron Mitchell will tour Australia for the first time with his new show The Origin of Love: The Songs and Stories of Hedwig, dropping in to Queensland Performing Arts Centre's (QPAC) Concert Hall on Tuesday 17 July 2018.

Theater Latte Da announces single tickets go on sale May 1 for Underneath the Lintel, starring Sally Wingert. As part of Theater Latte Da's commitment to developing new works, this production of Glen Berger's acclaimed play features original music commissioned by Latte Da from Grammy award-winning composer Frank London, founding member of The Klezmatics. Theater Latte Da Artistic Director Peter Rothstein directs the production with Music Director Dan Chouinard and vocalist Natalie Nowytski. Performances begin May 30 at the Ritz Theater (345 13th Avenue NE in Minneapolis).

The Rabbit and the Fallen Sycamore, the third album in a trilogy by singer-songwriter Kristo Rodzevski and his group of jazz progressives, will be released by Much Prefer Records on May 25, 2018.

Austin-based folk-pop virtuosos The Belle Sounds are thrilled to announce the forthcoming release of their album 'The Sea Within' on Friday, July 20. Their official album release party will take place on Saturday, July 21 at One-2-One Bar located at 1509 S. TINA, a new musical based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner just opened at the Aldwych Theatre and is currently booking to 20 October 2018. Directed by Phyllida Lloyd and written by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins, choreography is by Anthony Van Laast, with set and costume designs by Mark Thompson, musical supervision by Nicholas Skilbeck, lighting by Bruno Poet, sound by Nevin Steinberg, projection design by Jeff Sugg and orchestrations by Ethan Popp.

TimesTalks is pleased to present live iterations of two popular New York Times columns and a podcast at the first TimesTalks Festival, from April 13th - 15th. The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia (COP) continues our Improvisionaries season presenting trailblazing composer and electric violist, Martha Mooke.  COP's fifth series program at the Kimmel Center, Mozart, Mooke, and Faure, will feature Mozart's brilliant Symphony No. 38 "Prague." This iconic work received its first performance in Prague during one of Mozart's most successful tours to the city. The "Prague" symphony will share the program with a new commission by Martha Mooke. Mooke's unique style crosses the classical, jazz, and rock genres with a compelling and singular musical voice. In addition to concert appearances worldwide, Mooke's work has been featured in recordings that often defy categorization, including David Bowie's Heathen CD.

To close the Festival, Tribeca will World Premiere The Fourth Estate, from Oscar®-nominated director Liz Garbus, which follows The New York Times' coverage of the Trump administration's first year. The Centerpiece Gala will be the World Premiere of Drake Doremus' sci-fi romance Zoe starring Ewan McGregor, Lea Seydoux, Rashida Jones, and Theo James. The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 18-29.
