The Performance Space 122 Spring 2013 Gala will celebrate three pioneering women: celebrated chef and author Gabrielle Hamilton, Councilwoman Rosie Mendez and musician Amanda Palmer. The Shining Star Award, PS122's community award to those who greatly support the performing arts community, will be presented to Kickstarter and its co-founders Charles Adler, Perry Chen, and Yancey Strickler.

The third annual "Night of A Thousand Judys" - presented by The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - has added Carolee Carmello(Tony Award nominee for Scandalous), Justin Vivian Bond (Tony Award nominated performance artist), Lea DeLaria (acclaimed comedian and jazz vocalist), Jaime Cepero ("Smash"), Telly Leung ("Glee," Godspell), Scott Matthew (Shortbus), Natalie Joy Johnson (Silence!, Legally Blonde) and Nancy Anderson (Wonderful Town, A Class Act) to the lineup of talent for the show on Monday, June 17.

'PATTI ISSUES' - the hit solo play hailed as 'ecstatically vivid' by The New York Times and praised for its 'wit, feeling and conviction' by Time Out New York - will be performed in Chicago, Fire Island Pines and Provincetown this summer after its sixth extension in New York and recent performances in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Berkeley. The show can be seen at Mary's Attic in Chicago on June 13; in the Fire Island Pines at The Blue Whale and the Pavilion on select Fridays from May 17 to August 9; and at the Crown & Anchor in Provincetown, MA on July 2, 3 and 4 with a special benefit performance for the Family Equality Council on August 4. PATTI ISSUES Extends Again, Through 6/29

BEN RIMALOWER: "PATTI ISSUES" - the hit solo play hailed as "ecstatically vivid" by The New York Times and praised for its "wit, feeling and conviction" by Time Out New York - has announced a sixth extension after more rave reviews and a host of awards. The show will now run through June 29 at The Duplex in the West Village. Since "PATTI ISSUES" opened in August, it has become a must-see show on the downtown theater scene, garnering great word-of-mouth from attendees such as Alan Cumming, Michael Kors, Justin Vivian Bond, Tonya Pinkins, Perez Hilton and Ms. LuPone herself ("I was moved," she said. "He's a very talented man and I'm so proud of him.") Included as "Best New York Theater of 2012," The Advocate called the show "smart, poignant and dishy as hell," while it was dubbed "pithy and unforgettable" by The Huffington Post and "a very fierce comedy" by BroadwayWorld.com. "PATTI ISSUES" received a special Bistro Award for solo play in March and just won the MAC Award for "Male Debut." The show will be performed in Berkeley, San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles between March 26 and March 30. Lambda Literary Foundation Announces OUTWRITE! Series

Today the Lambda Literary Foundation announced OUTWRITE!, a special celebration of Los Angeles LGBT literary pioneers - Malcolm Boyd, Lillian Faderman, Katherine V. Forrest, John Rechy and Patricia Nell Warren --to be held on Saturday, April 27, at the West Hollywood Public Library. The evening, marking the 25th anniversary of the organization, begins at 7 PM. A catered reception in the forecourt of the library begins at 6 PM. This celebration is being made possible through the generous support of the City of West Hollywood.
