THE MEETING* Hosted by Justin Sayre to Celebrate SEX AND THE CITY, 8/28

Fresh from the success of Night of a Thousand Judys, The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - the acclaimed comedy/variety show hailed as 'rambunctious, uproarious and unpredictable' by The Wall Street Journal, 'delicious and delightfully droll' by The New York Post, and 'hilarious and sardonic' by The Village Voice - has moved to 54 BELOW for a six month run. The next show will be on Wednesday, August 28 at 9:30 PM. Known for its signature blend of outrageous comedy, politics, culture and everything in between, The Meeting* moves uptown after four seasons of packed houses in the West Village. Justin Sayre and The Meeting* were named one of the Top 10 nightclub shows of 2011 by Time Out New York, received the 2012 Bistro Award for 'Comedy Artistry' and a 2011 MAC Award nomination for Best Male Comedy Performance.

Justin Vivian Bond to Return to Joe's Pub in MX AMERICA, 9/20-10/5

Justin Vivian Bond returns to Joe's Pub at The Public in MX AMERICA, an exploration of the 'ways of seeing and being seen' as a patriot, a gender non-conformist and a cabaret artist in America, September 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and October 4 and 5 at 9:30 PM.

Newseum's Exhibit on the American Civil Rights Movement, 'Make Some Noise,' Opens Today

Today, in time for the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, the Newseum opens "Make Some Noise: Students and the Civil Rights Movement," an exhibit that explores the new generation of student leaders in the early 1960s who fought segregation by exercising their First Amendment rights and making their voices heard.

The third annual 'Night of A Thousand Judys' - presented by The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - has added Carolee Carmello(Tony Award nominee for Scandalous), Justin VivIan Bond (Tony Award nominated performance artist), Lea DeLaria (acclaimed comedian and jazz vocalist), Jaime Cepero ('Smash'), Telly Leung ('Glee,' Godspell), Scott Matthew (Shortbus), Natalie Joy Johnson (Silence!, Legally Blonde) and Nancy Anderson (Wonderful Town, A Class Act) to the lineup of talent for the show tonight, June 17.

Ben Rimalower's PATTI ISSUES Plays Second Performance at Mary's Attic Tonight

Ben Rimalower: 'PATTI ISSUES' - the hit Off Broadway solo play hailed as 'ecstatically vivid' by The New York Times and praised for its 'wit, feeling and conviction' by Time Out New York - has added a second performance for its Chicago premiere due to high ticket demand. In addition to the show on Thursday, June 13, there will be an additional show tonight, June 14. Both will be at Mary's Attic at 8:00 PM. After rave reviews and a host of awards, the New York production of 'PATTI ISSUES' was recently extended for the sixth time and will run through June 29 at The Duplex in the West Village. Other summer tour spots include Fire Island Pines and Provincetown, hot off a recent string of sold-out performances in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Berkeley. The third annual "Night of A Thousand Judys" - presented by The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - has added Maude Maggart (Entertainment Weekly's "Must List"), Tituss Burgess ("30 Rock," Jersey Boys), Rachel Shukert (Starstruck), John Early ("30 Rock") and Becca Blackwell (Untitled Feminist Show) to the lineup of talent for the show on Monday, June 17. The Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center will take place at Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Center (129 West 67th Street in New York). "Night of A Thousand Judys" will honor the legendary singer and actress Judy Garland with special skits, tributes and songs from her storied career. There will be a pre-show VIP reception at 6:30 PM and the show at 8:00 PM. The show is written and hosted by Justin Sayre and Lance Horneserves as music director, with choreography by Jason Wise and costumes by Sean Barrett.

The Performance Space 122 Spring 2013 Gala will celebrate three pioneering women: celebrated chef and author Gabrielle Hamilton, Councilwoman Rosie Mendez and musician Amanda Palmer. The Shining Star Award, PS122's community award to those who greatly support the performing arts community, will be presented to Kickstarter and its co-founders Charles Adler, Perry Chen, and Yancey Strickler.
