Director/choreographer Twyla Tharp will be presented with the 2010 I.A.L. Diamond Award for Achievement in the Arts from Columbia University on May 1. Ms. Tharp, who recently opened her new critically acclaimed musical, Come Fly Away, at Broadway's Marquis Theatre, is a 1963 graduate of Columbia's Barnard College.

The cast of UNCHAIN MY HEART, The Ray Charles Musical, will be lead by Brandon Victor Dixon (2010 Lortel, Drama League & Outer Critics Circle nominee for The Scottsboro Boys, 2006 Tony nominee for The Color Purple) starring as 'Ray Charles' and Nikki Renée Daniels (Promises, Promises, Nine) as 'Della'.

Stages St. Louis will begin selling tickets for their 2010 summer season beginning at 10:00am on Monday, April 5th. The season is set to include BIG RIVER, PROMISES, PROMISES, DISNEY'S THE ARISTOCRATS and STATE FAIR.

Diane Paulus, director of the hit Broadway revival Hair has been named the recipient of the 2009 I.A.L Diamond Award for Achievement in the Arts at Columbia University. She will receive the award this Saturday evening (May 2nd) at the annual the annual Varsity Show. The I.A.L.
