In this week's edition, we caught up with Lucy Simon, composer of Doctor Zhivago, currently playing at the Broadway Theatre.

Music Theatre of Madison (MTM), a nine year old professional musical theatre company focusing on lesser-known musicals, will present the Midwest premiere of Ryan Scott Oliver's 35MM: A Musical Exhibition. The production will be staged at the Goodman Community Center, 149 Waubesa St., tonight, May 7, and May 8, 9, 14, 15 & 16. Performances will be at 7:00pm each night, with the exception of May 9, when the performance will be at 8:00pm. Tickets will be available beginning April 1st via the MTM's website, www.mtmadison.com.

L. Frank Baum's beloved classic story of Dorothy and her friends in the land of Oz gets a reboot-literally-in a video game setting. OZ 2.5, a world premiere by Catherine Trieschmann, wraps up the Theatre for Young Audiences season at South Coast Repertory, May 22-June 7, on the Julianne Argyros stage. Now, over 40 years later, Yoko Ono: One Woman Show, 1960-1971 surveys the decisive decade that led up to that unauthorized exhibition at MoMA, bringing together approximately 125 of her early objects, works on paper, installations, performances, audio recordings, and films, alongside rarely seen archival materials. On view from May 17 to September 7, 2015, this is the first exhibition at MoMA dedicated exclusively to the artist's work.

Abingdon Theatre Company -- which has produced 85 new plays since 1994 -- concludes its 22nd Season with the world premiere of MALLORCA by two-time Emmy nominee Sheldon Bull ("Newhart"), with previews set to begin May 29, prior to an official press opening on June 7, in Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre (312 West 36th Street).
