Pittsburgh CLO Presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Pittsburgh CLO is proud to announce casting for the 27th annual production of A MUSICAL CHRISTMAS CAROL, December 7-23 at the Byham Theater. This year's production will feature lavish costumes and thrilling effects made possible by the support received from the Next Generation Capital Campaign. TV veteran and Broadway star Richard Thomas makes his Pittsburgh CLO debut leading the cast as Ebenezer Scrooge. Steppenwolf Announces Cast For Young Adults Upcoming Show

Steppenwolf for Young Adults (SYA) announced full casting for its upcoming production of We Are Proud to Present a Presentation About the Herero of Namibia, Formerly Known as South West Africa, From the German Sudwestafrika, Between the Years 1884-1915 by Jackie Sibblies Drury, co-directed by Hallie Gordon and Gabrielle Randle. It's the second of SYA's 2018-19 two-play season which asks, "When You Feel Lost, How Do You Find Your Way?" The cast features Will Alan (Actor 3/Another White Man), Taylor Blim (Actor 5/Sarah), Jeffrey Owen Freelon Jr. (Actor 2/Black Man), Michael Holding (Actor 1/White Man), Daniel Kyri (Actor 3/Another Black Man) and Jennifer Latimore (Actor 6/Black Woman).

Victoria Theatre Association today announced PNC Bank has made a significant investment in the new Arts Annex and is now the lead gift on the project, which provides a naming opportunity for the new arts and education venue scheduled to open this fall. The PNC ARTS ANNEX will bring to life the currently vacant corner of Second and Ludlow Streets in downtown Dayton, creating a fresh and flexible home for new arts experiences for all ages.

This June, The Human Race Theatre Company (HRTC) is celebrating the Bard with The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised]. Get ready for a show like no other. It's an irreverent, roller-coaster ride with the Bard that will leave you breathless with laughter as three incredibly talented actors take on all 38 of his plays in just 97 minutes… with a good amount of creative editing. Part improve-run-amok, part audience participation, all delightfully absurd, this merry mashup leaves no funny bone untickled and features a comic troupe lead by one of Ohio's finest Shakespearean actors, Human Race Resident Artist Bruce Cromer.

HRTC Announces 2018-2019 Season: AN ACT OF GOD, AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, and More

The Human Race Theatre Company (HRTC) is proud to introduce the lineup for its 2018-2019 Eichelberger Loft Series - a five-show collection of works that examines specific moments in history-real and imaginary, corrects ancient history and revisits a part of the company's own history. The season, featuring one fierce musical and four engaging plays, begins September 6, 2018. In addition to the fully-produced works on the Loft Series, HRTC is launching a new Monday Night Playreading Series with the table readings of three diverse, crowd-pleasing scripts.

BWW Review: ONE NIGHT WITH REBECCA LUKER Dazzles at HUMAN RACE THEATRE COMPANY

In the last week, I have been able to check off two of my theatre bucket list items.  One was to see a professional production of CHESS, which I was able to see at the Kennedy Center in its limited run last week.   The second, I checked off Saturday night at the Human Race Theatre Company at its fundraising event ONE NIGHT WITH REBECCA LUKER, when I was actually able to hear Rebecca Luker sing in person.
