Nomad Theatrical Company has announced the world premiere of Residual Effects, a new theatre piece written and performed by John Robert Tillotson as part of The NY Summerfest.

EPIC Players inaugural production of Dog Sees God - Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead opens on Thursday at The Kraine Theatre. The comedy, written by Bert V. Royal, runs until August 6 and is directed by company member David Bonderoff.

David Sabella, who originated the role of Mary Sunshine in the smash-hit revival of Chicago (currently running at the Ambassador Theatre), will head the cast of Doug DeVita's award-winning The Phillie Trilogy, opening July 19 at The Wild Project as part of the 15th Annual Fresh Fruit Festival.

New Plays and Musicals can sometimes take years to nurture before making it to a professional stage with paying customers. One such play opening at the 2017 NY Summerfest July 31 at Hudson Guild Theatre has had a 15-year journey; Jack Dyville's "My Stage Daddy".

Closing out its 90th season, the St. Bart's Players, Manhattan's longest-running community theater, will present Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music, opening October 19th at the Hudson Guild Theatre (441 W. 26th St.).

The Village Playwright meet from 8 pm to 10 pm at the LGBT Community Center, 208 W. 13th St., NYC. Everyone is welcome.

The common thread running through each company featured in THE SERIES  is the use of spectacular physical virtuosity to communicate fantastic ideas, June 6-11 at the Hudson Guild Theatre, 441 West 26th Street.
