Monteleone Dance is coming to the Hudson Guild Theatre, presented by The Moving Beauty Series.

Around twenty-five years ago, performer Margot Rose got inspired to write and perform a solo show about her first two tumultuous decades in show business, years filled with trials, tribulations and LOTS of mind-altering substances. She was at a turning point…or so she thought. Turns out, life still had several more highs and lows in store for her.

Blending cutting-edge science with masterful storytelling, Ovation Award-winning co-writers Alex Lyras and Robert McCaskill (The Common Air) team up with Grammy Award-nominated composer Ken Rich, visual artist Corwin Evans and three-time Emmy Award-winning editor Peter Chakos (The Big Bang Theory) to take the audience deep inside his memories, even as a hovering circle of family members and loved ones (all played by Lyras) divide into scheming camps over critical neurological decisions. A profound, often comedic tour of the collective unconscious.

Irish Repertory Theatre presents Eugene O'Neill's THE EMPEROR JONES, directed by Ciaran O'Reilly (Shining City), and starring Obi Abili (Ivo Van Hove's Antigone at BAM). THE EMPEROR JONES begins performances tonight, March 1, 2017 at Irish Rep Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage, opens on March 12, and runs through April 23, 2017.

THE GRUESOMELY MERRY ADVENTURES OF NELL DASH, AN IRREPRESSIBLY SENSIBLE CAPITALIST WITH A VENGEANCE is set for the Hudson Guild Theatre.

The Fresh Fruit Festival, presented by All Out Arts, now in its 15th year celebrating the LGBTQ community's unique perspective, creativity and diversity, and to build links between the LGBTQ artistic communities on local and international levels, will host its annual Fresh Fruit Awards of Distinction at The Bowery Poetry Club on April 24 at 7:00 p.m.

The St. Bart's Players is incredibly excited to celebrate its 90th season in 2017! Before the group's spring play, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, the Players will kick the season off with a special Gala tonight, February 25th!

The 13th Street Repertory Theater presents Perversion, a world premiere allegory of modern America written and directed by Judson Blake.  The cast of eight includes Harry Bainbridge, Daniel Cuff, Tony Del Bono, Dana Jesberger, Irina Kaplan, Robert Lewis, Andrew Nordin and Jenn Susi.  Thirty performances will be staged at the 13th Street Repertory Theater, 50 West 13th Street in NYC 10011 from March 30-April 30, 2017.

Salt Pillar Productions announces a public staged reading of Advent by Montgomery Sutton, directed by Emily Lyon. The cast features Dan Beaulieu, Laura Piccoli, and Montgomery Sutton. David Mirvish will present the national tour of Sam Mendes (Spectre, American Beauty) and Rob Marshall's (Into the Woods and Chicago, the films) Tony Award-winning production of CABARET. CABARET will play a strictly one-week engagement, February 14 - 19 at the Princess of Wales Theatre.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced new casting for the national tour of Sam Mendes (Spectre, American Beauty) and Rob Marshall's (Into the Woods and Chicago, the films) Tony Award-winning production of CABARET.

New York saxophonist Daniel Bennett has been hailed as one of the most original and unpredictable musical voices of his generation. The Daniel Bennett Group performs a special St. Patrick's Day CD Release at Rockwood Music Hall (Stage 3) on Friday, March 17th at 8:30pm.

The world premiere of PLASTICITY, a one-man show featuring Alex Lyras as an entire cast of characters, has the great fortune of a multi-talented performer in Lyras interpreting a very detailed script written by Lyras and Robert McCaskill. McCaskill ably directs his sole actor at a quick pace, with Lyras sometimes acting against himself as different characters.

Critically acclaimed Fat Knight Theatre premiered the second play of their 2016 - 2017 Season with Charlotte Ahlin's The Summoning at the Winterfest Theater Festival Competition. Ahlin is a recent graduate of Oberlin College and a feature writer for Bustle.com. The limited run is directed by Emily Lyon, who recently directed the fall touring production of The Tempest for Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival. She also served as dramaturge for the New York Times Critic's Pick, Sense & Sensibility produced by BEDLAM.
