Awards being presented to honorees at the 38th annual Governor's Arts Awards have been created by nine Arizona artists. Twenty-one 2019 Governor's Arts Awards finalists in seven categories have been selected from communities around the state. Honorees will be announced on Thursday, March 7 at the Renaissance Downtown Phoenix, 100 N. 1stStreet.

Fifty-nine individuals, arts organizations and advocates, small and large businesses and philanthropists from 19 communities statewide have been nominated for 2019 Governor's Arts Awards in eight categories.  Finalists in each category will be announced at an invitation-only Nominees Reception in February. The 2019 Shelley Award honoree will be announced in January.

Nine Arizona artists from Phoenix, Tucson, Sedona and the Navajo Nation who work in a variety of mediums have been selected to create individual awards for honorees at the upcoming 37th annual Governor's Arts Awards dinner and celebration on March 22 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort.

The 2018 Shelley Award winner will be introduced. Presenting Sponsors Billie Jo and Judd Herberger will announce the Philanthropy Award winner. APS also is sponsoring the event. Winners will be announced at the 37th annual Governor's Arts Awards dinner and celebration on March 22 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort.

Seventy-three nominations from around the state have been submitted for 2018 Governor's Arts Awards in eight categories. Finalists in each category will be announced at the Nominees Reception on Feb. 6, 2018 at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe in Phoenix. The 2018 Shelley Award honoree will be announced in January.

Dedicated performing arts enthusiasts Billie Jo and Judd Herberger hosted an intimate party this past Saturday night May 14th to honor Valley Youth Theatre (VYT).

Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) is excited to celebrate the diamond 20-year anniversary for three of its founding veterans. Bobb Cooper, VYT's Producing Artistic Director, Karol Cooper, its Resident Costume Designer and Mark Fearey, its Resident Music Director all brought their award-winning magic to the theatre in 1996.

Valley Youth Theatre (VYT) has announced that Brian Kunnari, group account director for R&R Partners, is now a voting member on its board of directors.
