On May 13, 2006 in the highly praised monthly series at the Metropolitan Room, New York Cabaret's Greatest Hits (Produced by Stephen Hanks; Associate Producer Fr. Jeffrey Hamblin, MD), multiple Award-winning jazz vocalist Laurie Krauz and her long-time Musical Director Daryl Kojak staged a show that was 25 years in the making. To celebrate their quarter-century collaboration, Krauz & Kojak performed a set of their favorite and most-loved numbers, not only bringing a packed room to its feet but also generating across-the-board raves from reviewers (below). By popular demand, this dynamic duo's collaboration celebration (with Sean Conly on bass and Gene Lewin on drums) will return to the Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd Street) on Tuesday, July 12 at 7 pm.

Charlotte Movizzoand Curtis Salinger, the 2016 Bobby G Award recipients of the Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role and Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, progress to represent Colorado atThe National High School Musical Theatre Awards. Charlotte Movizzo played Charity Hope Valentine in Ponderosa High School's production of Sweet Charity. Curtis Salinger played Emmett Forrest in Durango High School's production of Legally Blonde.

Coming up next for Mint Theater Company (Jonathan Bank, Producing Artistic Director; Jen Soloway, Managing Director) will be the first ever New York revival of A Day by the Sea by N.C. Hunter, directed by Austin Pendleton. This will be the Mint's first production as a resident theater company at Theatre Row. Performances will begin July 22nd and continue through September 24th at their new home at the Beckett Theater at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th and Dyer Avenues). Opening Night is set for August 25th.

Finalists for the fourth annual Bobby G Awards were released this afternoon. The awards program, which culminates in a Tony Awards-style ceremony and performance on May 26 at the Buell Theatre, celebrates outstanding achievement in high-school musical theatre in Colorado. This year the program was expanded to include 40 schools across Colorado, up from 30 the year before.

This Friday, we will begin technical rehearsals for the show, and we open for school groups next Wednesday, June 1st.
