ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS Comes to Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for the Arts

The premiere play at the Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for the Arts, One Man, Two Guvnors, tells the story of Frances Henshall, an out - of - work skiffle player who becomes separately employed by two gangsters - Roscoe Crabbe and Stanley Stubber s. Watch Frances juggle jobs and fall in love, but ultimately hope for just one bite to eat. WHEN: January 30, 2018 to March 4, 2018

Obie & Drama Desk Winner Deirdre O'Connell to Star in TERMINUS at Next Door at NYTW

Monk Parrots announce casting for their New York premiere of Gabriel Jason Dean's (Princeton Hodder Fellow, Dramatist's Guild Fellowship, Broadway Blacklist) critically acclaimed play TERMINUS, directed by Lucie Tiberghien (The Other Thing, Don't Go Gentle, Soldier X, Hoodoo Love, The Pavilion). TERMINUS runs from February 17 - March 10, 2018 in a limited engagement at NEXT DOOR at NYTW, located at 83 East 4th Street between Bowery and 2nd Avenue in New York City. Previews begin February 17 for a February 20 opening.

8th Annual Clive Barnes Awards Arrive at Lincoln Center's Walter Reade Theater

As the weather begins to warm up the top of next week, providing a break from the unusually harsh winter weather NYC has been experiencing, the Clive Barnes Foundation will return to The Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center for the 8th annual Clive Barnes Awards on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 3:00pm.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre presents HE AND SHE An Endangered Species Project Of MET-X

Maryland Ensemble Theatre's MET-X BRANCH presents the second installment of the Endangered Species Project with an actively staged reading of Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Rachel Crothers' He and She. Written in 1911, this early feminist's battle of the sexes drama focuses on He (Tom Herford) and She (Ann Herford), husband and wife artists whose marriage is put to the test when it is time to submit for a prestigious commission. He and She is often considered Rachel Crothers' most important play for its nuanced depiction of the choices faced by the New Woman of 1911. He and She opened in Boston in February of 1912, had a successful run on Broadway in 1920, and had a major revival in 1980 when mounted by New York's BAM Theatre Company.

Go Comedy! Welcomes 2018 with Snow Day Fundraiser

Go Comedy is excited to host the 11th annual Snow Day improv marathon. Snow Day brings together improvisors from across the area to raise money for Gilda's Club of Metro Detroit, The Tim Hayden Scholarship Fund and The Diana George Jacokes Endowment Fund. The 26 hour event will feature performances by nearly 50 improv groups including a special 2-hour family friendly block from Noon-2pm on Sunday, January 14. Performances will kick off at 8:00pm on Saturday, January 13 and continue through 10:00pm Sunday, January 14. Tickets range from $10 to $20 for several performance blocks with a full 26 hour performance pass available for $100. Camille Hoffman to Present New Mixed-Media Landscapes That Critique Colonial Histories

The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) is pleased to present Pieceable Kingdom, an exhibition of new mixed-media artworks by Camille Hoffman that offer meditations on Manifest Destiny and its latent representation in the Romantic American landscape. The exhibition will run from January 18 to April 8, 2018, in the Museum's Project Space. This marks the third installment of MAD's Fellow Focus series, which is dedicated to highlighting the work of alumni of the Van Lier Fellowship, awarded thrice yearly as part of the Museum's Artist Studios Program.

THE BENCH, A HOMELESS LOVE STORY Extends At East Village Playhouse

The Off-Broadway hit The Bench starring Robert Galinsky, directed by Jay O. Sanders, will extend its sold out run at The East Village Playhouse (340 East 6th Street). It will start back up after the holidays beginning January 26 and will run an additional 12 weeks through April 13, 2018, playing Friday evening at 9pm. Miriam Hoffman to Read From Her Latest Book at The PGA Arts Center

Miriam Hoffman, author, scholar, journalist, playwright and survivor will read selections from her new book A Breed Apart: Reflections of a Young Refugee, on Monday, January 15, 2018, at 7pm at the PGA Arts Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She will be joined onstage by her son, Avi, the award-winning actor and performer who is currently appearing in the 20th Anniversary Production of his Too Jewish? at the PGA Arts Center through January 21st. The evening will also include a multimedia presentation, discussion, Q & A and book signing. The event will be FREE and open to the public.

Produced by PGA Arts Center in Association with Yiddishkayt Initiative, Inc & University of Miami Miller Center for Contemporary Judaic Studies, Too Jewish? will begin performances at PGA in Palm Beach Gardens, on Thursday, December 28 & run through Sunday, January 21, 2018.
