Linda Perry and Dolly Parton, have been nominated for a Golden Globe Award for “Girl in the Movies,” Dumplin' in the 'Best Original Song - Motion Picture' category. In addition to producing the Netflix film Dumplin' (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), Perry penned the music and lyrics for “Girl in the Movies” with Parton.
Weakened Friends are heading back out on the road in January, traveling throughout the East Coast and Midwest with Well Wisher and Punch Drunk Tagalongs. In October, the trio -- who are based in Portland, ME -- released their debut full-length, Common Blah. Founded by songwriter Sonia Sturino, bassist Annie Hoffman, and drummer Cam Jones in 2015, the trio is a low pressure outlet for emotionally volatile music. Engineered and produced by Hoffman and perfected over the last year, the record broadcasts heavy feelings amid screech and feedback with little more than a distortion pedal to clog up the signal chain.

When Sam Shepard's play True West made its New York debut back in 1980 it was something of a flop - since then, however, it has been recognised as an insightful piece of theatre, with the likes of John Malkovich, Gary Sinise, Philip Seymour Hoffman and John C Reilly taking on the roles of Lee and Austin at one point or another in their careers. The National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene's Off-Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish, directed by Academy and Tony Award winner Joel Grey, will be releasing a cast album.
