Peak Performances Kicks Off 2015 Lineup of Music, Theater and Dance

A potent mix of international and American music, theater and dance premieres highlight the second half of the Kasser Theater's 10th anniversary celebration, which begins today, January 24 with the American premiere of Robyn Orlin's extravagantly titled 'At the same time we were pointing a finger at you, we realized we were pointing three at ourselves...' performed by the Senegalese dance troupe Compagnie Jant-Bi.

DANCING SONDHEIM Screening Set for 1/31 at Lincoln Center

Two short films from DANCING SONDHEIM -- a free App compiling 7 short dance movies by Richard Daniels using the music of Stephen Sondheim -- will be screened on Saturday, January 31 at 6 p.m. as part of Lincoln Center's annual DANCE ON CAMERA film festival.

Jean de Brunhoff's classic children's book The Story of Babar: The Little Elephant will come to life in music by Francis Poulenc with narration by Theatrical Storyteller Sara Valentine, the co-founder and creative director of Really Inventive Stuff.

Gotham Chamber Opera to Present THE TEMPEST SONGBOOK, 3/27-29

Gotham Chamber Opera presents the final production of the 2014/2015 season, The Tempest Songbook, comprised of incidental music for The Tempest composed in 1695 and attributed to Henry Purcell and Kaija Saariaho's 2004 Tempest Songbook for soprano, baritone and period instrument ensemble, in its U.S. and World Stage Premieres.A co-production with The Martha Graham Dance Company, The Tempest Songbook will be performed in The Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, with three performances from March 27 - 29, 2015. Performances: Friday and Saturday at 7pm, Sunday at 3pm. Tickets range from $30 to $175 and are available at metmuseum.org/tickets.

Opera Saratoga Releases Schedule for 2015 Summer 'Festival' Season

Paul Appleby, Andrew Garland Will Join Julia Bullock in VOCE: RISING OPERA STARS IN RECITAL
