City Lit Theater announced the cast for the world premiere musical SCARAMOUCHE, based on Rafael Sabatini's adventure novel, directed by Beth Wolf and featuring a 10-person cast with a 30-number score.

Citadel Theatre has announced the cast and crew for the third production of its 17th season - THE FANTASTICKS. The world's longest running musical, THE FANTASTICKS tells the story of Matt and Luisa, young next-door neighbors who fall in love precisely because their scheming fathers, knowing the kids will do exactly what they're told NOT to do, have been keeping them apart.

The Shakespeare Project of Chicago presents a special production of MOBY DICK-REHEARSED, Orson Welles's adaption of Herman Melville's novel, for two performances: March 15 at the Niles-Maine District Library and March 16 at the Newberry Library. The theatrical reading is part of the Newberry's special exhibition celebrating the 200th anniversary of Melville's birth - 'Melville: Finding America at Sea.' Admission is free and registration is required at both venues.

The play will be preceded by A SELECTION OF ENGLISH CHRISTMAS CAROLS. Free performances are December 14 and 15, 2018, at the Niles-Maine District Library and the Newberry Library, respectively.

The Shakespeare Project of Chicago kicks off its 23rd Theatrical Reading Season with free performances of Shakespeare's pastoral comedy AS YOU LIKE IT, running October 20-25, 2017, at six Chicago-area venues.

A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS opens September 27, in the Dr. Lynn Schornick Theatre in the Jack Benny Center for the Arts, 39 Jack Benny Drive-Bowen Park, Waukegan, IL. Performances run September 27, 28, October 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13. Curtain for Friday and Saturday performances is at 8 PM; and for the Sunday matinees at 3 pm. Single adult tickets are $20; senior/military/seminary student tickets are priced at $15; and student tickets are $10.
