For more than a decade, Bound for Broadway has been letting audiences know about new shows currently in development. In past years, Bound for Broadway has presented shows like Next to Normal, Avenue Q and The Drowsy Chaperone. Now in its 11th year, according to the Kaufman Center website, the event will feature the following shows.

Stage and screen star Brooke Shields will extend her run as Morticia in the hit musical THE ADDAMS FAMILY for an additional two months through Saturday, December 31 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street). Shields had originally planned to end her limited engagement on Sunday, October 30. 'I am having the time of my life playing Morticia with this wonderful company of actors. Morticia is such a delicious role and THE ADDAMS FAMILY is such a fantastic and iconic piece of entertainment that I just couldn't resist the invitation to extend,' said Shields.

If the Vineyard Theatre's Off-Broadway production of [title of show] had concluded its run in 1986, or even 1996, the story of the musical where composer/lyricist Jeff Bowen and bookwriter Hunter Bell played themselves creating the musical that the audience was watching most likely would have ended right there. But it was October or 2006...

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that San Diego's Old Globe Theatre will back a reading of the 1997 musical The Green Heart. The reading will feature a revised script and a slew of Broadway stars including: Emily Skinner, Jackie Hoffman, Fred Applegate. The event will be held August 8-12.

On Tuesday, June 28 THE ADDAMS FAMILY welcomed stage and screen star Brooke Shields in the role of Morticia. Ms. Shields joined current Broadway cast members Roger Rees as Gomez, Brad Oscar as Fester, Rachel Potter as Wednesday, Jackie Hoffman as Grandma, Zachary James as Lurch, Adam Riegler as Pugsley, Heidi Blickenstaff as Alice Beineke, Adam Grupper as Mal Beineke and Jesse Swenson as Lucas Beineke.
