What can be more cheering on a dreary, wet evening than seeing a jolly Alan Ayckbourn comedy?

The cast has been announced for Wiltshire Creative's upcoming production of Alan Ayckbourn's A Chorus of Disapproval, completing their 2024 spring season.

Harlem will host its first large-scale sculpture exhibition in Spring, 2024. The historic parks Morningside, St. Nicholas, and Jackie Robinson have been selected to be the featured sites for these works as well as the campus of City College and the Roosevelt Triangle on 125th Street.

New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the New Jersey Theatre Alliance, two of the state's largest arts service organizations, congratulated the 2021 Cultural Access Awards recipients with a virtual event of learning and celebration on Thursday, June 24.

With one preview and three gala performances under their belts, the cast of the 20th Annual GCTC/CCLA Lawyer Play have cause to celebrate.

From June 5th to June 8th, Great Canadian Theatre Company and the County of Carleton Law Association will be presenting the 20th Annual Lawyer Play Fundraiser. A cast of 23 local lawyers and judges will perform War of Two Worlds, a new work and adaptation by GCTC's Artistic Director and Managing Director, Eric Coates and Hugh Neilson, with apologies to Orson Welles. The production is a radio-play-within-a-play, following an ensemble of voice actors in the late 1940s as they attempt to save their radio station while recreating Orson Welles' The War of the Worlds.

With combined gross revenue from sponsorships and ticket sales, this year's Lawyer Play - The Rule of Three by Agatha Christie - exceeded all of its fundraising targets, raising $140,000 in funds to support GCTC and this year's charity partner, Tungasuvvingat Inuit.

Myrtle Theatre Company is renowned for its ground-breaking work that is influenced and inspired by the voices in society that often go unheard. In recent times, the company has enjoyed a special relationship with Nathan Bessell- a performer with Down's syndrome who was the star and inspiration for Up Down Boy (which toured and had a stint at the National Theatre) and the upcoming revival of it's sequel Up Down Man.

This week Tobacco Factory Theatres launches its most ambitious ever season of productions for Aug - Dec 2017, including five in-house productions throughout the autumn and at Christmas. In addition, the theatre announces a new chapter in its history: the creation of the Factory Company which will perform two electrifying plays between February and May 2018.
