A highlight of the Festival will be Swell, a theatrical adaptation of the graphic novel adapted by Juliacks, Kathleen Amshoff, and the company, having its World Premiere. The production will combine the novel's narrative with sound, video, architecture, and performance art, resulting in a 'spectacular, character-driven reflection of loss.'

Noor Theatre and the Center for Architecture present Building ANew: An Evening of Short Plays. This one-night only concert-style reading will feature Noor's first commissioned plays from award-winning writers including Jacob Kader, Ismail Khalidi, Mona Mansour, Tala Manassah, Sam Neave, Daria Polatin, Heather Raffo, and Najla Said. The Public Theater announced new February dates today for THE TOTAL BENT by Stew and Heidi Rodewald and directed by Joanna Settle. The shift in dates for this Public Lab production is due to an unforeseen construction-related delay that prevented the show from getting into the theater on the scheduled start date. The Public Theater's building renovation has been underway since fall 2008 and is expected to be completed on time this summer.

The Red Bull Theater presents an 'In the Raw' workshop of THE AENEID, by Oliver Kemeid, a powerful new play inspired by Virgil that transports Aeneas's search for a homeland into the modern world of middle-eastern revolution. THE AENEID will play at the St. Clements Theater for three performances on Feb. 11 and 12.
