Carnegie Hall today announced the complete cast for its gala benefit performance of The Sound of Music on Tuesday, April 24 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. New to the cast are Mary Michael Patterson (Anything Goes) as Liesl von Trapp, Nick Spangler (The Book of Mormon) as Rolf Gruber, Cotter Smith (Next Fall) as Herr Zeller, Drama Desk and Obie Award recipient Reed Birney as Admiral von Schreiber, and Joel Hatch (Billy Elliot) as Franz, The Butler.
The inside story of the beloved movie musical, revealed by Charmian Carr, Nicholas Hammond, Heather Menzies, Duane Chase, Angela Cartwright, Debbie Turner, and Kym Karath, the actors who starred as the von Trapp children.

Todo lo recaudado en taquilla ha sido destinado a la Fundación Vistare, concretamente a la Casa de Acogida Claudio Martínez Girls Home en Katmandú, Nepal.
Mañana jueves 18 de noviembre se proyectará en exclusiva la versión remasterizada de Sonrisas y Lágrimas. Se trata de una oportunidad única para ver este clásico, que ahora cumple 45 años, en pantalla grande y con la mejor calidad de imagen y sonido. Será un pase único que tendrá lugar en Madrid, de forma simultánea en dos salas del Cine Proyecciones, a las 20:30 horas. La recaudación íntegra que se haga en taquilla irá destinada a la Fundación Vistare, más concretamente a la Casa de Acogida Claudio Martínez Girls Home, en Katmandú, Nepal.
El próximo 17 de noviembre saldrá a la venta en DVD y Blu-ray la película Sonrisas y Lágrimas. Además, como exclusiva por su 45 aniversario, se podrá obtener el DVD con Copia Digital y su banda sonora.
