Ars Nova announces Nova Ball Remix, the non-profit's winter gala, which will take place on Monday, December 5 at Capitale (130 Bowery). Nova Ball Remix will celebrate Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 and the Broadway debuts of its writer and composer Dave Malloy, director Rachel Chavkin and originating producer Ars Nova. The evening features performances by Josh Groban, Denee Benton & the Broadway cast of The Great Comet, Heather Christian, Joe Iconis & Family, Anais Mitchel, Sky Pony, and more.

Sundance Institute today announced the seven artists selected for the 2016 Playwrights & Composers Retreat at Ucross Foundation in Wyoming, February 2-20. The retreat is one of the 25 residency Labs the Institute hosts each year for independent artists in theatre, film, new media and episodic content, and is made possible through the generosity of the Ucross Foundation. Over 90 Sundance artists have benefitted from time at Ucross Foundation including Charlayne Woodard, Jeanine Tesori, Doug Wright, Annie Baker, Adam Guettel, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Tanya Saracho.

The University of the Arts' Ira Brind School of Theater Arts announces the 2016 lineup for Polyphone, a "festival of the emerging musical" on the UArts campus in Philadelphia. Running March 20-27, the 2016 the Polyphone festival produces staged concerts of new musicals and re-imagined canonical works offering professional composers, librettists and directors an opportunity to develop their work among the rich creative community of the Brind School at UArts. The festival will program five musicals, including both classical and new works, with three performances each.

? Ghostlight Records has released the PRELUDES Original Cast Recording in digital formats and in stores today, January 8, 2016. Produced by LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and engaging new audiences, PRELUDES is a new musical by Dave Malloy, inspired by the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff, developed with and directed by Rachel Chavkin. The album is produced by Dean Sharenow. The CD jewel-case package contains a 32-page booklet with full lyrics and production photography. Ghostlight previously released the original cast album of Malloy and Chavkin's musical Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, which is opening on Broadway later this year starring Josh Groban. Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Producing Artistic Director Andre Bishop) has announced that McKinley Belcher III, Khris Davis, Montego Glover, John Lavelle, and Clarke Peters will be featured in its upcoming production of THE ROYALE, a new play by Marco Ramirez, directed by Rachel Chavkin, which begins performances Thursday, February 11 at the Mitzi E.
