One of the world's best-known and longest-runnng musicals - The Fantasticks by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt - ushers in the 2017-18 season at Franklin's Pull-Tight Theatre in a new production helmed by director Pat Street, running August 11-26.

The Huron Playhouse's 2017 season will open its 69th season with the classic Tom Jones-Harvey Schmidt musical The Fantasticks. This production will replace the previously announced A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum due to unforeseen circumstances.

Join Broadway Stars and long-time friends, Carole Demas (GREASE original 'Sandy') and Sarah Rice (SWEENEY TODD original 'Johanna') in their musical celebration of Broadway's Tom Jones & Harvey Schmidt (THE FANTASTICKS, I DO, I DO, CELEBRATION, 110 IN THE SHADE, COLETTE and more).

Broadway veterans Carole Demas, who originated the role of Sandy in Grease, and Sarah Rice, who originated the role of Johanna in Sweeney Todd, have teamed up to celebrate the music of Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, composers of THE FANTASTICKS, 110 IN THE SHADE, I DO! I DO! and more. Demas and Rice have based their show on their 50 years of work and personal relationships with Jones and Schmidt. 

Nettle Creek Players, a 501c3 not-for-profit arts organization, on Monday, June 19 will welcome to Hagerstown a troupe of visiting professional theatre artists who will live in the community for five weeks as they prepare and present the Nettle Creek Players 2017 Summer Stock Tent Theatre Season featuring productions of THE FANTASTICKS, THUMBELINA, BROADWAY ON MAIN STREET, and the NCP Young Actors Musical Theatre Workshop.  Performances of THE FANTASTICKS will be at 7:30pm on July 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 & 22 with BROADWAY ON MAIN STREET at 2:00pm on July 9, 16 & 23 and THUMBELINA at 11:00am and 1:00pm on July 15 & 22, 2017.  The Workshop will be offered from July 11-23, 10:00am-3:00pm.

Whether art imitates life or vice versa differs depending on who you ask, but CATCO's production of 'I Do! I Do!' makes a strong case for both interpretations of this age-old adage.

The Redhouse Arts Center has announced its 2017-18 Main Stage Season filled with charm, wit, laughter, a dash of hysterical family dynamics and plenty of pure theatrical excitement.

Playwright Tom Jones is making some changes to his 57-year-old musical THE FANTASTICKS. Mr. Jones has done a little bit of rewriting of the musical number "Round and Round" which he has always felt never quite conveyed the darker elements he intended.

110 In The Shade is both old-fashioned and bang up to date, full of pleasing songs, fine performances and a heartwarming message of love and hope.

If showstoppers are the sugary-sweet dessert of any Broadway show, you might think eating nothing but cake would leave you sick to your stomach. But in the case of THE GREAT BROADWAY BELT SHOW! at Feinstein's/54 Below, you'd be wrong. At the April 25 show, dessert for dinner never looked so good.
