San Francisco Opera Presents Richard Wagner's DER RING DES NIBELUNGEN At The War Memorial Opera House

San Francisco Opera presents Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung) in three complete cycles, each presented over the course of one week as the composer originally intended, from June 12 through July 1 at the War Memorial Opera House. Encompassing four operas-Das Rheingold, Die Walkure, Siegfried and Gotterdammerung-and more than 17 hours, the story and music of Wagner's Ring are the acme of the operatic artform and one of the most ambitious works of music, theater and stagecraft ever created. In anticipation of the performances, San Francisco Opera today announced a schedule for its Ring Festival events designed to provide the public, from first-timers to experienced Ring-goers, with enriching activities including lectures, symposia, film screenings, musical programs, public discussions and a Ring Community Day for families.
Casting Announced For the UK Tour of TITANIC THE MUSICAL

Casting has been confirmed for the first ever UK & Ireland Tour of Titanic The Musical. Directed by returning director Thom Southerland, 25 actors from across the country will take the production on its maiden UK and Ireland tour, to visit the cities and communities whose forebears built, manned and sailed on the famous ship.
Gettysburg Community Theatre presents Disney's SLEEPING BEAUTY

OOTB Announces 2018 MainStage Off-Broadway Season

Producing Founding Artistic Director Liz Flemming, Associate Artistic Director, Ethan Paulini and Out of the Box Theatrics announced their 2018. The season will open with Adam Rapp's Nocturne followed by Cheryl Stern's new musical Shoes and Baggage and closing out the season will be James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods. Early Bird Subscriptions ($75) are now available. Regular subscriptions priced ($93) go on sale January 22. Single tickets ($30-$42) go on sale February 12. Shakespeare's Globe is delighted to announce Michelle Terry's first season as Artistic Director. 2018's Shakespeare productions include Hamlet, As You Like It, The Two Noble Kinsmen, The Winter's Tale, Othello and Love's Labour's Lost. A premiere of three new plays, a national and international tour of Shakespeare and other performances on and off site are announced together with a year-long programme of events exploring the history and future of theatre censorship, as well as a series of events looking at race, refuge and refugees in relation to Shakespeare.
