The Musical, the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, will add Sunday evenings to the new Spring playing schedule beginning this Sunday, March 4th at The 9th Space Theatre at Performance Space 122, 150 First Avenue (at 9th St.) SILENCE! Award-winning librettist Hunter Bell and his SILENCE! The Musical stars, David Garrison and Jenn Harris, recently visited 'Theater Talk' to discuss the process of turning the classic movie thriller The Silence of the Lambs into a musical. The Musical, the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, will celebrate the classic thriller's birthday with a special added late show this Saturday, February 25th at 10:30 PM at The 9th Space Theatre at Performance Space 122, 150 First Avenue (at 9th St.) This season's hit, SILENCE! The Musical, has a book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli, and has been extended 5 times to date.

Today, in honor of Sunday's Oscar telecast, we are going to take a look at some of the most memorable opening numbers and musical montages from the Academy Awards over the years, with a special focus, of course, on theatrically-related presentations and performers. The 2012 night of Oscar gold marks the return of frequent host Billy Crystal, so we are sure to be in for some truly terrific movie parodies and unscripted asides to have us rolling in aisles over the course of the hotly anticipated award show's three hours - Hollywood's night of nights. The Musical took to the stage at the Upper East Side Barnes & Noble yesterday, February 23rd at 5 PM to perform selections from the hit parody of the classic film The Silence of the Lambs. Brian J. Michael Winner is to bring his one-man show, Michael Winner:?My?Life in Movies and Other Places, to the King's Head Theatre for a one-night only fundraiser for the theatre.

Chita Rivera attended SILENCE! The Musical at P.S. 122 this past Thursday, February 2nd, and she remained afterwards to praise the cast and pose for photos.
