According to Baz Bamigboye for Daily Mail, Trevor Nunn's upcoming production of KISS ME KATE will transfer to the Old Vic after playing Chichester Festival Theatre this June. The production, which will star Hannah Waddingham, Alex Bourne and Adam Garcia, is set to open at CFT on June 18 and run through September 1. Possible transfer dates have not yet been announced.

The CBC will be casting Dorothy in an Andrew Lloyd Webber production of THE WIZARD OF OZ via a live TV show, Over the Rainbow. Auditions begin in June, and the show will mount in December, according to 680news.com.

Rumours that The Public Theatre's production of INTO THE WOODS will transfer to Broadway have been fueled once more by The New York Post, which reports that extentions to Donna Murphy, Amy Adams and the rest of the cast's contracts are being negotiated.

There's much to love in this collection of musical theatre pieces written by Richard Beadle, whose musical direction credits include Betty Blue Eyes (Novello Theatre), Hair! (Gielgud Theatre), Priscilla, Queen Of the Desert (Palace Theatre) and Grease (Piccadilly Theatre).

A host of some of the best talent in West End musical theatre will join Hollywood stars Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Anne Hathaway in the film of Les Misérables. The talented list below will be playing non starring roles in the forthcoming film.

Hannah Waddingham will play Lilli Vanessi in Trevor Nunn's Kiss Me Kate at the Chichester Festival Theatre, which will open June 18, the UK Daily Mail reports. She will star opposite the previously announced Australian actor Adam Garcia, who will play ladies' man Bill Calhoun, as well as Clive Rowe and David Burt, who will play the pair of gangsters who sing Brush Up Your Shakespeare. Stephen Mear will choreograph.

According to a report by Michael Riedel of nypost.com, The Public Theater is already considering a Broadway transfer for the revival of INTO THE WOODS which plays the Delacorte in Central Park this Summer.

Original cast members Michael Crawford and Danielle Hope both recently departed the West End production of THE WIZARD OF OZ, and have been replaced by Over the Rainbow finalist Sopie Evans and Russell Grant and Dorothyand the Wizard respectively. Both have been with the show since the beginning, and audiences had been following the yellow brick road over the rainbow to see Crawford (as the Wizard) and Danielle Hope (as Dorothy), winner of BBC TV's Over the Rainbow, at The London Palladium. But before they leave, the cast celebrated Crawford's 70th birthday at a recent curtain call.

BroadwayWorld.com has learned that the hit open-air production of INTO THE WOODS that played London's Regent's Park Theatre in 2011 is now planning for a transfer to Central Part's Delacorte Theater as part of the Public Theater's Summer 2012 programming. Casting is said to be underway already for the role of 'The Witch' and that the producers are seeking a big name. Nothing officially has been announced on a possible transfer, as The Public is expecting to announce the 2012 summer season at the Delacorte sometime next month. The Public Theatre had no comment by press time.

The series launched last week week with LYSISTRATA JONES and this week celebrates the hit London production of THE WIZARD OF OZ with the original cast of Michael Crawford, Danielle Hope, Emily Tierney, Paul Keating, David Ganly, Edward Baker-Duly and Hannah Waddingham.
