On January 9th, Broadway's biggest belters celebrated the best-selling Canadian music artist in history, Celine Dion, in an evening of epic power ballads, and classic pop tunes at 54 Below. With one of the most distinctive voices in music history, and with albums sales of over 200 million, Dion is undeniably one of the most influential female artists of our generation. Audiences can expect to hear a wide array of Celine's greatest hits from her 25 year career, including 'The Power Of Love,' 'It's All Coming Back to Me Now,' 'My Heart Will Go On,' 'I Drove All Night,' and many more. Following multiple sold out engagements, Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band will return to the intimate Manhattan venue 54 Below on Thursday, February 5th to kick off an official residence for 2015. Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, Bonnie & Clyde) and Ciara Rene?e (Pippin, Big Fish) will make their Broadway Big Band debuts, joing a starry list of performers.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, will welcome five original programming producers: Scott Coulter, Shoshana Feinstein, Brandon Ivie, Benjamin Rauhala, and T. Oliver Reid. In their new capacity, the five producers have been commissioned to create a variety of shows including musicals in concert, songwriter celebrations, reunion concerts, and more.

What I found so utterly engaging about the world premiere of Steve Martin and Edie Brickell's new musical BRIGHT STAR is its complete unpretentiousness. Certainly its musical style --American bluegrass with a heaping helping of laid back mountain charm -- has the kind of lilting homespun ease that makes you feel like you're listening to the neighborhood jug band on mama's back porch, and there's something oddly comforting about that.
