Light Opera Works' 2012 season begins with CAMELOT June 1-10, followed by MAN OF LA MANCHA August 11-26, OPERETTA'S GREATEST HITS October 5-14, and OLIVER! December 22-31.

Camelot's score-with music by Frederick Loewe and book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner-is performed by director Cyndie Verbeten's large ensemble and music director Fran Gebuhr's orchestra with respect for the literature of the piece and with an obvious affection for the characters and their stories, both individual and collective. As a result, the ACCC production is entertaining, made even more accessible by the cast's commitment, with the story made more relevant by the company's lively approach.

Playful Theatre Productions presents the Tony Award winning Lerner and Loewe classic at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre Fridays, Oct. 21 and 28 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Oct. 22 and 29 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Oct. 23 and 30 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. The John W. Engeman Theater has announced the cast and the creative team for the classic musical, Camelot.

Be transported back to the magical and mythical days of medieval England when Camelot comes to the Sacramento Music Circus August 2-7. Arthur, Guenevere and Lancelot come alive in Lerner and Loewe's inspiring musical of love, intrigue, idealism and magic. Moving ballads such as 'If Ever I Would Leave You,' 'How to Handle a Woman' and 'Camelot' will have audiences tangled in England's most fabled love triangle.

Music Circus has announced the full cast for their upcoming production of Lerner and Loewe's CAMELOT, which will be led by Davis Gaines as King Arthur. Joining Gaines are Lisa O'Hare as Guenevere, and Sean Hayden as Lancelot.

Bay Street Players announces its 37th season, which will run September 16, 2011-July 29, 2012. Performances take place at the Bay Street Players Historic State Theatre at 109 N. Bay Street in Eustis.
