The Purple Rose Theatre Company is thrilled to bring the bittersweet comedy, Annapurna by Sharr White to Michigan for the first production of their 24th Season.

The Purple Rose Theatre Company has announced its 2014 / 2015 Season, which will feature a Midwest premiere of an Off-Broadway sensation, a Purple Rose take on a classic comedy, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by a PRTC benefactor, and a world premiere zombie thriller. The theatre company's 24th professional season will include: Annapurna by Sharr White, Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling, Talley's Folly by Lanford Wilson, and 2AZ by Michael Brian Ogden.

The Purple Rose Theatre Company is now taking reservations for our next class, Actor Boot Camp. The class is a three-day session tonight, April 25 from 7PM-11PM, Saturday, April 26 from 10AM-6PM, and Sunday, April 27 from 11AM-3PM.

The collection of world premiere short comedies will explore the nature of love, loss, revenge and renewal. Jeff Daniels' Purple Rose Theatre Company is accepting applicants for itsnew SHAKESPEARE AT THE ROSE class scheduled for January 27 - March 10, 2014 at the Purple Rose rehearsal facility in Chelsea, Michigan. Workshop hours are Mondays, 7 - 11pm.

The Purple Rose Theatre Company is thrilled to announce that Jeff Daniels' The Meaning of Almost Everything has been recommended for consideration for the American Theatre Critics Association's annual ATCA/Steinberg New Play Award, honoring new scripts produced outside of New York City in the calendar year 2013.

The Purple Rose Theatre Company is adding three performances to the sold out run of Jeff Daniels' Onstage & Unplugged (originally scheduled for December 26 - 31). Added performances will be held Friday, December 20 at 8:00 PM and Saturday, December 21 at 3:00 PM & 8:00 PM.

The Purple Rose Theatre Company is pleased to announce a one-week performance extension of The Vast Difference by Jeff Daniels. The Purple Rose Theatre Company has announced that Katie Doral, former general manager of First Stage Milwaukee, has been appointed as the new managing director of The Purple company manager and managing director since 1999. Doral began her new position on September 23rd.

Through coincidences and through recurring reference in thoughtful, cogent and brief acceptance speeches, the event was very much a 'family affair.'
