Quintessence Theatre Group launches its fourth season of progressive classic theatre with Shakespeare's HAMLET presented in rotating repertory with Goldmsmith's SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER, directed by Alexander Burns. Quintessence's celebrated full throttle actor and text driven approach to the classics will be further enhanced by an Elizabethan Courtyard style staging, complete with groundlings, and a fast and furious two hour abridgement of HAMLET. HAMLET began previews on Wednesday, October 9 at 7pm and opened on Saturday, October 12. The Renegade Company will present a new work titled Glass: Shattered. The piece is inspired by Tennessee Williams' American classic The Glass Menagerie and is written and directed by Renegade's Artistic Director Michael Durkin. Glass: Shattered runs from June 5th -22nd.

This one-of-a-kind theater piece is being created by and under the direction of EgoPo's, Brenna Geffers. This is the second installment of EgoPo's season long American Vaudeville Festival and will be presented as part of the 2013 Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts. Houdini will be performed on the mainstage at Plays and Players Theater. Press opening will be Friday, March 29th and the show will run until April 7th.
