This adaptation from the amazing Aaron Sorkin, directed by Bartlett Sher, currently playing at the Paramount Theater, takes all that’s great about the source material and presents it in a way that will make you remember why it’s such an enduring classic and why you were forced to read it.

The Alex Theatre will kick off its new screening series “The Alex Picture Show” with a Halloween weekend “Hocus-Focus Film Festival.” In support of local, rising filmmakers, the festival will pair each celebrated feature with a short horror film.

The San Diego International Film Festival will screen films for the  21st Annual Festival (Oct 19-23, 2022) at partner organization,  AMC 14 @ Westfield UTC. Sarasota Opera announces an added title in its “HD at the Opera House” series with a screening of “Der Rosenkavalier” on Sunday, September 25. This historic Salzburg Festival production stars legendary soprano Elisabeth Schwarzkopf. Sarasota Opera also rescheduled a film of Verdi's Rigoletto to September 11 (from May) with tickets for these “HD at the Opera House” films on sale for $22, and $20 for Sarasota Opera subscribers.
