Dates and casting have announced for new National Theatre season!

Nancy Carroll (Jenny von Westphalen), Laura Elphinstone (Nym), Eben Figueiredo (Schramm), Nicholas Burns (Willich), Tony Jayawardena (Gert 'Doc' Schmidt), Miltos Yerolemou (Barthelemy), Duncan Wisbey (Fleece/Darwin), Scott Karim (Grabiner/ Singe), Alana Ramsey (Mrs Mullett), Sophie Russell (Librarian), Fode Simbo (Peter), William Troughton (Constable Crimp) and Joseph Wilkins (Sergeant Savage) join the previously announced Rory Kinnear (Marx) and Oliver Chris (Engels) in the world premiere of Young Marx, a new comedy by Richard Bean and Clive Coleman, directed by Nicholas Hytner.

1850, and Europe's most feared terrorist is hiding in Dean Street, Soho. Broke, restless and horny, the thirty-two-year-old revolutionary is a frothing combination of intellectual brilliance, invective, satiric wit, and child-like emotional illiteracy.

Into the story walks George: wandering knight, freedom fighter, enemy of tyrants the world over.

The Theatre Group at SBCC will continue the 17/18 season with Richard Bean's hilarious comedy, ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS, music by Grant Olding, directed by Rick Mokler, October 11-28 in the Garvin Theatre.

Saint George and the Dragon, a new play by Rory Mullarkey, will be directed by Lyndsey Turner. The show runs in previews from tonight 4 October, with press night 11 October, and continues in the repertoire until 2 December 2017 at the National Theatre. Richard Bean's internationally acclaimed One Man, Two Guvnors opens at Lakewood Theatre Company on November 4, 2016, with songs by Grant Olding. The British comedy is based on an Italian play, The Servant of Two Masters by Carlo Goldini, and transports the classic conundrums of a harlequin hero from 1740s Florence to 1960s Brighton, keeping the age-old traditions of one of the most revered theatre forms-commedia dell'arte.
