On the heels of their acclaimed 2012 year-long world tour, Crosby, Stills & Nash will tour again in 2013, beginning with a series of dates in May in the Southeastern United States. The tour begins May 5 at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, FL, and concludes at the Hard Rock Casino & Resort in Biloxi, MS on May 25. Other highlights include Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL (May 7), the Seminole Hard Rock Live Arena in Hollywood, FL (May 10-11), the Peace Center Concert Hall in Greenville, SC (May 21), and the Performing Arts Center in Montgomery, AL (May 24). Stephen Hawking and his fellow physicists may not have yet figured out the formula for traveling through the time-space continuum, but apparently the Metropolitan Room discovered the secret. Last Friday night (October 26), I walked through the curtain into the main performance space and entered a time tunnel that took me from the 21st century into the 1960s and '70s. Two lovely, rising young stars of cabaret, Lauren Fox and Jennifer Sheehan (photo left), had obviously hurtled though that same time warp because in two separate shows on the same evening, they performed songs that had been written and recorded 15 to 25 years before they were born. In the process they transported this particular Baby Boomer joyously back to his youth and to the days of cultural upheaval, generation gaps, peace, love, war, and some of the best pop/rock music ever written.

Graham Nash has helped shape the world around him through ideas, innovations, and influential works of art for more than four decades. A legendary singer-songwriter, Nash is also an internationally renowned photographer and digital imaging pioneer whose work is represented-by a classic 1969 portrait of David Crosby-in the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. The Art of Graham Nash, an exhibition featuring a broad range of Nash's works, opens at New York City's ACA Galleries on October 11. The gallery will host an artist's reception on Thursday, October 18 from 5-8 pm. So many cabaret shows, so little time . . . to write reviews that is. During his almost two years as a cabaret reviewer, BroadwayWorld.com critic Stephen Hanks managed to do a pretty good job of writing critiques during a show's run or soon after the run ended.
