Playwrights Horizons has announced, following critical acclaim and popular demand, a one-week extension for The Profane, the world premiere of a new play by Horton Foote Prize winner Zayd Dohrn (Sick, Reborning) and directed by Kip Fagan (Grand Concourse at Playwrights, Exit Strategy).

Playwrights Horizons has announced complete casting for BELLA: AN AMERICAN TALL TALE, the co-world premiere of a new musical with book, music and lyrics by Obie Award winner Kirsten Childs (The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin at Playwrights, Miracle Brothers). 

Vineyard Theatre will present the New York premiere of two-time Pulitzer Prize-finalist Gina Gionfriddo's Can You Forgive Her?, directed by Peter DuBois (SONS OF THE PROPHET, BECKY SHAW). Can You Forgive Her? will begin preview performances on Thursday, May 4 with an official opening night set for May 23.

Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern have just announced that original cast members will record the Kid Victory cast recording on Monday, March 20. Broadway Records is set to release the recording in September, produced by Michael Croiter.

On March 13, Vineyard Theatre's 2017 Gala Fundraiser celebrated the 10th anniversary of Vineyard Theatre's hit musical [title of show] with Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff, and a toast to Broadway producer Kevin McCollum. Michael Berresse directed the gala show. Larry Pressgrove was the music director.

The annual Gala Fundraiser will take place on Monday, March 13, 2017, beginning at 6:30pm, at Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue).

Produced by The Custom Made Theatre Co., Inc., of San Francisco with Executive Producers William and Ruth Isenberg, SAM & DEDE, OR MY DINNER WITH ANDRE THE GIANT begins performances on Thursday, March 9 for a limited engagement through Saturday, April 1 at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues) in Manhattan. Press opening is Wednesday, March 15 at 7:30 PM.

59E59 Theaters will host the East Coast premiere of SAM & DEDE, OR MY DINNER WITH ANDRE THE GIANT, written by Gino DiIorio and directed by Leah S. Abrams.

Vineyard Theatre Artistic Directors Douglas Aibel and Sarah Stern announce that Tony Award nominee David Garrison (Vineyard's MIDDLETOWN and EIGHT DAYS BACKWARDS) will join the cast of KID VICTORY starting Tuesday, March 14 for the the final week of its run. Garrison replaces Daniel Jenkins who returns to OSLO for the Broadway production.

Playwrights Horizons is now accepting entries today, Monday, March 6, for the LIVEforFIVE online lottery for $5 tickets to their world premiere production of The Profane, a new play by Zayd Dohrn (Outside People, Reborning).

Rehearsals began this week for the revival of John Guare's critically acclaimed play Six Degrees of Separation starring seven-time Emmy Award winner Allison Janney ('Mom,' The Girl on the Train) as Ouisa, Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey (The Normal Heart, 'Manhattan') as Flan and Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, '24: Legacy') as Paul. Directed by Trip Cullman (Significant Other, Yen), Six Degrees of Separation will begin previews Wednesday, April 5 prior to the official opening on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Barrymore Theatre. The production will play a 15-week run through Sunday, July 16.

Due to extremely high ticket demand, Second Stage Theatre's New York premiere production of Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Tracy Letts' play, MAN FROM NEBRASKA, has announced a two-week extension after opening to extremely positive reviews on February 15th. The production will now play through March 26 at the Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd Street).
