Rubicon Theatre Company celebrates Black History Month with THE DEVIL'S MUSIC: THE LIFE AND BLUES OF BESSIE SMITH, starring singer and actress Miche Braden of the original Off-Broadway production (named one of the 10 Best Off-Broadway productions of the year by the N.Y. Daily Times). Described by CBC as a, "bawdy, bluesy, boozy rollicking night out at the theatre," the show follows the life, loves and career of blues and jazz singer Bessie Smith, called the "Empress of the Blues."

Amazon Studios today announced it has green lit a fourth season of the Golden Globe award-winning series MOZART IN THE JUNGLE, and a final, third season of the hit comedy series RED OAKS.

Producers today have announced that OH, HELLO ON BROADWAY has officially recouped its $2.9 million capitalization, just before closing its limited run on January 22. 

Starring Pete Holmes, the comedy series CRASHING launches its eight-episode season SUNDAY, FEB. 19 (10:30-11:00 p.m. ET/PT).

Stars of stage and screen Gina Gershon and Lucy DeVito have been added to the cast of New York's Celebrity Autobiography for the upcoming NYC performance on November 21 at 7pm at The Triad (158 West 72nd Street).

MAN IN SNOW - the newest work by celebrated playwright Israel Horovitz (OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES) - will receive its New York premiere this fall at La MaMa's First Floor Theatre (77 E. 4 St.) with previews beginning tonight, November 11, prior to opening night November 14, 2016.   Mr. Horovitz also directs the play.

Gina Gershon is set to guest star on the eighth episode of FOX's EMPIRE. The actress will take on the role of Helene Von Wyeth, the founder of her own fashion label, who teams with EMPIRE for her annual fashion show.

Penguin Rep Theatre, the award-winning theatre in Stony Point, New York, under the leadership of Artistic Director Joe Brancato and Executive Director Andrew M. Horn, closes its 2016 season with the New York premiere of Daniel's Husband by Michael McKeever from September 23 through October 16, 2016. In Daniel's Husband, Mitchell and Daniel are the ideal couple, everything but married. Mitchell does not believe in marriage; Daniel does. "When their life together takes a shocking and unexpected turn," says Mr. Brancato, who will stage the production at Penguin Rep, "we learn about the power and pain of love in this breathtaking new play."

Broadway star Allie Trimm is in concert with composer Daniel Dunlow. Enjoy an evening of new music from Dunlow's piano and Trimm's voice. Allie Trimm is a Broadway veteran recognized for her performance in Jason Robert Brown's 13 The Musical. Dunlow is an actor, singer, writer known for his viral YouTube videos and his work around the country and on the New York stage and screen. Come enjoy an evening of two redheads making beautiful music with special surprise guests.

For its upcoming July 18 NYC performance, New York's funniest show CELEBRITY AUTOBIOGRAPHY will welcome to its cast stars of stage and screen Brooke Shields, Gina Gershon (TV's Z Nation, House of Versace, Broadway in Bye Bye Birdie, Cabaret, Boeing-Boeing), Ralph Macchio (HBO's upcoming The Deuce, My Cousin Vinny, The Karate Kid, Dancing with the Stars), four-time Oscar nominee Marsha Mason (Netflix's Grace & Frankie, ABC's The Middle), Peter Scolari (HBO's Girls, Broadway's Wicked), comedy legend Alan Zweibel and Drama Desk-winners Eugene Pack & Dayle Reyfel.

ADOPT THE ARTS will launch a live benefit concert and live auction for LAUSD elementary schools on Thursday, May 12 at The Fonda Theatre (6126 Hollywood Boulevard) in Los Angeles (red carpet 6:00-7:15PM, show starts: 7:30PM). Music luminaries will gather to perform with and honor 2016 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees GLENN HUGHES (Deep Purple) and ROBIN ZANDER (Cheap Trick) for their contributions to American art and culture. Proceeds from the concert and auction will be donated to ADOPT THE ARTS music programs in LAUSD elementary schools (see VIP ticket/donation below).

On Monday, May 9, Roundabout Theatre Company will host their second annual Casino Night, at the American Airlines Theatre (227 W. 42nd St). All proceeds benefit Roundabout Theatre Company's many programs, including the Education programs and the Musical Theatre Fund.

Rattlestick Playwright's Theater and Women's Project Theater have announced that Gina Gershon (Cabaret, Boeing Boeing) will star alongside co-stars Josiah Bania (Sarah Ruhl's Three Sisters at Yale Rep), Shiloh Fernandez (Red Riding Hood) and Drama Desk nominee Morgan Spector (A View From The Bridge, 'Boardwalk Empire'), in their co-production of this spring's New York premiere of IRONBOUND by Martyna Majok (Petty Harbor) in her New York City debut.
