A stellar line-up of leading musical theatre artists are taking to the stage of The Hippodrome in London's West End on Sunday 30th April to celebrate the comic songwriting of Alexander S. Bermange.

My work as a composer and lyricist has involved writing in diverse styles for quite a range of projects. BroadwayWorld readers may be most familiar with my musical theatre output, thanks in no small part to recordings by the likes of Kerry Ellis, Ramin Karimloo, Lara Pulver and Ben Forster. But one area I have always attacked with verve and passion is my work in the comedic genre.

Casting has just been announced for the first new musical to be staged at Live at Zedel at Crazy Coqs. Alex Parker Theatre Company, The Katie Lam Company and Fane Productions present AFTER YOU, with music by Alex Parker, book & lyrics by Katie Lam, and directed by Alastair Knights, Live at Zedel at Crazy Coqs, running 13 April - 22 April 2017. Press night is set for Friday, 14 April 2017 at 7pm.

Transatlantic songwriting duo Anderson & Petty returned The St. James Studio over the holidays to present 'An Anderson & Petty Christmas' featuring a host of West End and TV stars stars.

In addition to the stars below, 'An Anderson & Petty Christmas' has recently added Katie Brayben, Lynne Wilmot, and Declan Egan to the line-up of this one-night-only concert on December 19.

The National Youth Music Theatre celebrated its 40th birthday in style - with ENCORE: 40 Years of NYMT, a star-studded West End gala night at the Adelphi Theatre. The glittering evening, on Sunday 30 October, featured an array of performances celebrating the last 40 years of NYMT, lots of surprise guests and items and some previews of what is to come. The Evening Standard Theatre Awards, established in 1955, are presented annually for outstanding achievements in London Theatre, and this year's nominations longlist has just been announced. Sponsored by the Evening Standard newspaper, this year's shortlist will be revealed on October 24, and winners on November 13, 2016.

Last night, Wicked marked an impressive 10 years in the West End with a special gala performance, attended by dozens of past cast members, such as Kerry Ellis, Oliver Tempsett, Louise Dearman, Willemijn Verkaik, Savannah Stevenson, Gina Beck, Alexia Khadime, Diane Pilkington and Danny Mac, and members of the original creative team, including Stephen Schwartz and Joe Mantello.

Graham Norton, Samantha Bond, Michelle Visage and David Bedella alongside a host of performers took to the stage of the Novello Theatre last night for the seventh annual West End Bares, raising money for MAD Trust.

This is the seventh outing for hotly anticipated annual burlesque show West End Bares, inspired by the Jerry Mitchell-founded Broadway Bares. Leading West End performers come together to entertain - and get their kit off - in order to raise money for The Make A Difference Trust, which works towards a world free from HIV and AIDS.

TheatreMAD (Make A Difference Trust) today announced that following his triumphant appearance last year, Graham Norton will once again host this year's West End Bares: EXCALIBARE at the Novello Theatre on Sunday 25 September at 7.00pm and 9.30pm. He will be joined by West End star co-hosts, Ramin Karimloo (Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies), Gina Beck (Showboat, Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera) and Ben Freeman (The Rocky Horror Show, Happy Days, Legally Blonde, Wicked).

This limited season of Daniel Evans' five star Sheffield Crucible production of SHOW BOAT today commences its final four weeks, playing its last West End performance at the New London Theatre on Saturday on 27 August 2016.  

Hartshorn - Hook Productions is thrilled to announce the reunion of last year's critically- acclaimed cast in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. The production, nominated for Best Revival in last year's Broadway World Awards, will return for two performances at the Arts Theatre on Monday 15th August.

This limited season of Daniel Evans' five star Sheffield Crucible production of Show Boat will now play its final West End performance on 27 August 2016. The production was previously announced to be booking to 7 January 2017.

Show Boat is recognised as a classic show in the Musical Theatre canon and Daniel Evans does a worthy job of bringing it back with style and class. From the opening chord, the wonderful score sounds better than ever and what could be a clunky revival feels fresh, exciting and polished.
