A huge congrats to BC/EFA, which just announced GYPSY OF THE YEAR's outstanding grand total of $4,786,239 after six weeks of fundraising efforts! Broadway's BOOK OF MORMON brought in the top funds, and KINKY BOOTS took 'Best Presentation' at the event.

Based on the smash hit 2003 film of the same title, School of Rock: THE MUSICAL, with music from the movie, as well as an original score by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Glenn Slater, a book byJulian Fellowes and direction by Laurence Connor, made its World Premiere on Broadway last night, December 6, at the Winter Garden Theatre. The 27th annual edition of the Gypsy of the Year competition will feature special performances from 14 Broadway and Off-Broadway shows today, December 7 (4:30 PM) and tomorrow, December 8 (2 PM) at the New Amsterdam Theatre (214 West 42nd Street, NYC). Gypsy of the Year (#gypsyoftheyear) celebrates six weeks of intensive fundraising by Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring productions.

Lea Salonga, revered as the 'Voice of the Philippines,' returns to Segerstrom Center for the Arts for a special one-night-only concert in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall on Saturday, April 2 at 8 p.m.

On the final episode of Trek to Broadway, join the company of Allegiance for all the excitement of Opening Night on Broadway. Go backstage as the cast tries to stay calm and prepare for their official debut while the fervor of celebrities and special guests arriving on the red carpet outside the Longacre Theatre. Sing Out, Louise! Productions and ATA have announced that the new musical Allegiance, with music & lyrics by Jay Kuo, will be preserved with an original cast album to be recorded on Monday, December 7, 2015 at MSR Studios.  The recording will be produced by Lynne Shankel & Joel Moss for Sing Out, Louise! Productions.  Principal Allegiance cast members Lea Salonga, George Takei, Telly Leung, Katie Rose Clarke and Michael K. Lee will be joined by the entire company for the studio session, which will include original recordings of tracks such as "Wishes on the Wind," "What Makes a Man," "With You," "Stronger Than Before," and Salonga's Act One showstopper "Higher," among many others.  The album is scheduled to be released digitally on January 30, 2016.  For more information, visit www.AllegianceMusical.com.
