Houston Ballet presents its eleventh annual Jubilee of Dance, a special one-night only performance on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 7:00 pm. This year's program will feature the great American ballerina Julie Kent, a principal dancer with New York's American Ballet Theatre, who will make a special guest appearance. Ms. Kent will perform the leading female role in Stanton Welch's Clear (2001), a role she created at the work's premiere in 2001 in New York. Houston Ballet will also pay tribute to beloved first soloist Kelly Myernick, who is retiring after 14 years with the company. The Jubilee of Dance will close the evening with an excerpt of Stanton Welch's high-speed Velocity (2003), a ballet that pays homage to classical conventions in a contemporary manner. Paul Simon has joined the week-long celebration of George Harrison on TBS's late-night show CONAN. The celebration, which begins tonight, also features previously announced performances of Harrison songs by Beck, Norah Jones, Dhani Harrison & Friends.

TBS's late-night show Conan is set to honor George Harrison with a week of performances by some of the biggest names in music.

Fifty years ago, the Beatles came to America.... and made their only Pittsburgh appearance at the Civic Arena on September 14, 1964. Legendary concert promoter Pat DiCesare, who brought the band to Pittsburgh for its historic performance, will reprise his role by hosting a series of events, including a tribute concert featuring Beatlemania Now, tonight, September 13th at 8pm, at the Benedum Center.

Theatre Raymond Kabbazwill be opening its 2014/15 season with The Lost Fingers, followed by an opening night reception.

The anticipation of celebrating the 50th anniversary of that memorable night, August 23, 1964 when I saw The Beatles live at the Hollywood Bowl for the first time, had me excited for days, knowing this time I would be able to hear the music and celebrate it along with a sold out Hollywood Bowl audience eager to experience some of the best music ever written. And I was not disappointed. The show ROCKED!
