The 2015-16 Janet and Mark L. Goldenson Broadway Musical Concert Series at Rubicon Theatre Company concludes with a concert presentation of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG.

Charlotte Hope (Myranda in Game of Thrones, Allied, A United Kingdom), Jack Fortune (King Lear, Route Irish, Sparkling Cyanide), Barnaby Kay (A Streetcar Named Desire, The Real Thing, Wuthering Heights) and Gary Shelford (Twelfth Night, Angry Young Man) join the previously announced multi award-winning, international star Ed Harris (forthcoming HBO series from J.J. Abrams & Jonathan Nolan; Westworld, Pollock, The Hours and The Truman Show), Golden Globe winner Amy Madigan (Twice in a Lifetime, Roe vs. Wade), and Jeremy Irvine (War Horse, The Railway Man, Now is Good) to complete the cast in Sam Shepard's Pulitzer & Obie prize winning play, Buried Child, following a critically acclaimed New York run earlier this year.

Producing Artistic Director Spiro Veloudos opens the 2016-2017 Lyric Stage Company season with Stephen Sondheim's ground-breaking concept musical COMPANY. Winner of six Tony Awards in 1971, as well as the 2007 winner for Best Revival of a Musical, don't be surprised to find this modern makeover capturing some hardware when awards season rolls around in Boston next spring. The ensemble is filled with a roster of talent that doesn't quit.

With music and lyrics Stephen Sondheim and a book by George Furth, Company tells the story of Robert, turning thirty-five and still single, living in New York City. Surrounded by friends, all of whom have coupled off, he confronts his perpetual bachelorhood in a series of hilarious interactions...just in time to blow out his birthday candles. This game-changing musical gets a modern makeover in AE's Season 29 opener with unforgettable renditions of some of Sondheim's best-known songs, including 'Being Alive.'

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, announces a one-week extension to Company, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth. The production is directed by William Brown. Company features original orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, Orchestral Reductions by Ian Weinberger, music direction by Tom Vendafreddo and choreography by Brock Clawson. The show, originally slated to run through July 31, 2016, will add an additional week, through August 7, in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe.

Actor's Express opens its 2016-2017 season with a modern take on Stephen Sondheim's game-changing musical Company. After his acclaimed production of Sweeney Todd last season, Actor's Express Artistic Director Freddie Ashley will direct the funny and incisive comedy with a 'reignited love for Sondheim. Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, which is presenting 54 Celebrates The Neil Simon Theatre, on June 29th, 2016, has added Emmy Award winning director Lonny Price to the star-studded event. Mr. Price was seen on the Neil Simon stage in original production of Stephen Sondheim & George Furth's Merrily We Roll Along. Since then he has become an accomplished director of both theatre and television.

To be or not to be … married. That is the question facing Robert throughout COMPANY, the Stephen Sondheim/George Furth musical that concludes Writers Theatre's current season at its spiffy new venue in Glencoe.
