Spleen Theatre's ANNA CHRISTIE Plays Barge on Hudson River, Now thru 9/23

Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-Prize winning Anna Christie, a timeless story of longing and redemption that unfolds on O'Neill's fictional "Simeon Winthrop" coal barge, will perform aboard the century-old Lehigh Valley Barge #79, docked in historic Red Hook along Brooklyn's Hudson River, beginning tonight, September 8, presented by Spleen Theatre. The production is directed by Laura Tesman.

Working Theatre Presents Reading of US Poet US Poet Laureate Philip Levine, Tonight, 5/7

Working Theater previously announced a reading of the poetry of US Poet Laureate Philip Levine. Readers include Pulitzer-Prize winning novelist Jeffrey Eugenides and performers André De Shields, Gene Gillette and Lisa Ramirez tonight, May 7th at 7pm at the SEIU 32BJ building at 25 West 18th Street, on the 5th floor. Reception with artists to follow.

Working Theater has announced a reading of the poetry of US Poet Laureate Philip Levine. CAP21 Presents THE USHER'S BALL 5/6

On May 6th, CAP21 (Collaborative Arts Project 21) will transform its block box theater 'The Shop' into Europe during WWI, the backdrop for Fengar Gael's 'The Usher's Ball'. The play will have a month long run in May, as part of CAP21's Spring/Summer season.
