Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) announces a week devoted to dance from Saturday, May 30 to Thursday, June 4, 2020.

Spring 2020 programs have been announced at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.

Soprano Jennifer Zetlan reprises the title role in the New York City premiere of composer Ricky Ian Gordon and Pulitzer Prize winning poet Frank Bidart's Ellen West in Gelsey Kirkland Arts Center at the PROTOTYPE Festival. In the summer of 2019, Zetlan portrayed Ellen in the world premiere of the opera in Saratoga Springs, in a performance hailed by critics as 'brilliant,' 'penetrating' and 'a tour de force.' The PROTOTYPE production will also star Metropolitan Opera baritone Nathan Gunn. Performances will run from January 14-19, 2020.

Alessandra Corona Performing Works returns to the Theatre St. Jean Baptiste with a program of works by four choreographers: Alessandra Corona, Maiya Redding, Isaies Santamaria Perez, and Manuel Vignoulle, Saturday & Sunday, October 26 at 7:30 PM and October 27 at 6:30 PM

Alessandra Corona Performing Works returns to the Theatre St. Jean Baptiste with a program of works by four choreographers: Alessandra Corona, Maiya Redding, Isaies Santamaria Perez, and Manuel Vignoulle, Saturday & Sunday, October 26 at 7:30 PM and October 27 at 6:30 PM. 

Alessandra Corona Performing Works returns to the Theatre St. Jean Baptiste with a program of works by four choreographers: Alessandra Corona, Maiya Redding, Isaies Santamaria Perez, and Manuel Vignoulle, Saturday & Sunday, October 26 at 7:30 PM and October 27 at 6:30 PM. Part I of the performance will show works by choreographers Redding, Perez and Corona, each presenting a 10-minute vignette with the possibility of developing a future full production for Corona Performing Works. Part 2 features W2! (Women Too!), choreographed by noted choreographer Manuel Vignouelle.

ACQUANETTA, which just opened at Bard's SummerScape, was the piece that opened 2018's edition of PROTOTYPE festival in New York. Musically and dramatically, written by Michael Gordon, composer (of 'Bang on a Can' fame), Deborah Artman, librettist (ditto), the piece is very much in a class of its own.

FOX has renewed the Emmy Award-winning dance competition series SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE for a 16th season. From Industrial Media's 19 Entertainment and dick clark productions, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE will return this summer on FOX. 

ALESSANDRA CORONA PERFORMING WORKS with guest JAMES SAMSON presents the premieres of two dance/theater works:

Alessandra Corona presents her Performing Works in the premieres of two dance/theater works by choreographers Manuel Vignoulle, originally from Paris, and Guido Tuveri who, like Ms. Corona, is a native of Cagliari Italy.
