The Winter Season, a series of 7pm Monday night concerts at BIRDLAND featuring top Broadway and cabaret performers, continues with composer/lyricists Amanda Green & Tom Kitt, who will be performing their original songs January 24th and 31st at 7pm. The duo will be joined by special guest stars Brooks Ashmanskas, Mario Cantone, Jenn Colella, Gavin Creel, Jerry Dixon, Matt McGrath, Julia Murney, Greg Naughton, Alice Ripley, Amy Spanger and the Tom Kitt Band. The writing team is currently adapting the popular book and film High Fidelity for the Broadway stage as a musical, and will premiere several songs from the musical during the concert.

ight Records founder Kurt Deutsch will gather the all-star cast of the recent Actors Fund of American benefit concert of the Galt MacDermont-Gerome Ragni-James Radio musical HAIR for a marathon all-day recording session on Friday, October 1. The recording, to be produced by Deutsch and Joel Moss, will feature the complete score and original orchestrations of the classic '60's musical. Benefit producer and musical director Seth Rudetsky will conduct the recording.
