Gates McFadden is stepping down from the position of Artistic Director for Ensemble Studio Theatre/Los Angeles effective December 31, 2014, it was announced today.

Robert Stanton stars as Arnolphe in Moliere's production of 'The School for Wives' at Two Rivers Theater. Directed by Mark Wing-Davey, the show will be on the Red Bank Stage from September 13th to October 5th. Broadwayworld.com had the chance to interview Robert Stanton.

Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA has announced the West Coast premiere of The Ugly One, a comedy by Marius von Mayenburg (English translation by Maja Zade), directed by Gates McFadden. Starring Robert Joy, Tony Pasqualini, Eve Gordon, and Peter Larney, The Ugly One is set to open today, February 15 with performances at 5pm and 8pm. The limited engagement will run through March 24.

The Los Angeles Premiere of the critically acclaimed DERBY DAY written and directed by Samuel Brett Williams opens Saturday, February 22nd at 8 PM. Produced and directed by Sheena Metal for Ensemble Studio Theatre Los Angeles, all proceeds will benefit V-Day, A Global Movement to End Violence Against Women and Girls, and Protect.org, a national pro-child, anti-crime association committed to building a powerful, nonpartisan force for the protection of children from abuse, exploitation and neglect.
