It's unlikely any current touring show can match this "Phantom" in ornate detail, with its cast's flawless enunciation and its glistening chandelier and proscenium, covered in haunting, golden faces. Anyone familiar with Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom of the Opera" will know what to expect from the familiar characters and promising production values, but this tour delivers that and much more.

Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will go on sale Sunday, October 9 for an engagement at the Detroit Opera House, January 11 - 22, 2017.  With newly reinvented staging and stunning scenic design, this new version of PHANTOM is performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this one of the largest productions on tour in North America.

The Swedish production of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA had their press day in Stockholm yesterday where they previewed three scenes from the show. Broadwayworld Sweden were there to cover it!

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA I just experienced at the Kennedy Center renewed my faith in the show: it is a delight for all the senses, possesses dazzling stagecraft, and is performed by a cast that mines the romance, danger, and intrigue from the story and score. I declare this production a dream come true. Chris Mann, formerly a contestant on THE VOICE headlines the show in the title role, performing with mystery and power. His Christine on the night I attended, Kaitlyn Davis, was stunning, as well.
