Ben Davis, Lesli Margherita and More to Sing '40s Tunes in BROADWAY BY THE YEAR at Town Hall

Tony Award Honoree Ben Davis (Violet, A Little Night Music, La Boheme), Lesli Margherita (Matilda, Dames at Sea), Kendrick Jones (Shuffle Along, The Scottsboro Boys) & Drama Desk Award-nominee Daniel Reichard (Original Cast of Jersey Boys) will join previously announced Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba (Bullets Over Broadway, Curtains, Contact), multi-award winning Nightclub star Klea Blackhurst & Steve 'The Whistler' Herbst at Town Hall's Broadway by the Year Series on Monday, March 27 at 8pm, 'The Broadway Musicals of the 1940s,' which will highlight the music of Rodgers & Hammerstein, Kurt Weill & Leonard Bernstein.

San Francisco Conservatory of Music Appoints Kay Stern To Faculty

The San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) today announces the appointment of violinist Kay Stern to its faculty. Stern is currently the concertmaster of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, a position she has held since 1994. She will begin her own studio at SFCM in Fall 2017, in addition to continuing her role at San Francisco Opera.

Arts San Antonio Celebrates 25 Seasons of Performances DEEP IN THE ARTS OF TEXAS Gala

Today, ARTS San Antonio announced its annual spring gala "Deep In The Arts Of Texas" a Cajun-themed evening today, March 2, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. with special guest and two-time Grammy-award winning BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet. The event is a major fundraising benefit for ARTS San Antonio's education initiative ARtsTEach. It will be held at Boudro's Texas Bistro at St. Charles Plaza, 209 North Presa, San Antonio.

Miss Richfield 1981 Returns to Philadelphia with 2020 VISION

Miss Richfield 1981 returns to Philadelphia for the first time in three years with her brand new show "2020 Vision: A Survival Guide To The New World!"  Known for her unique take on audience participation, and comedic songs and videos, Miss Richfield will bring her message of hope -or at least survival-to Christ Church Neighborhood House Theater on March 10 and 11 at 8pm.  Performing again in Philadelphia holds special meaning for Miss Richfield 1981 who served as a brand ambassador for Visit Philadelphia from 2009-2014.   

Vaudeville in Vogue Again! The McCallum Theatre Presents Second Edition of A TRIBUTE TO THE FOLLIES

From the legendary Folies Bergere to the Ziegfeld Follies of Broadway to the Fabulous Palm Springs Follies, the theatrical revue has been a staple of entertainment for well over 100 years. The McCallum pays tribute to these wonderful performers with its own Vaudeville variety show. The McCallum's Second Annual Tribute to the Follies stars John Davidson and Ann Hampton Callaway, and features The Olate Dogs, David & Dania, Mark Schiff, Henrik Bothe, and the Follies Dancers and Follies Orchestra.

THE BIG BROADCAST! Returns to Mount Holyoke College's Chapin Auditorium on 3/5

The Jazz Ensembles of Mount Holyoke College present the 12th edition of The Big Broadcast! on Sunday, March 5 at 2PM & 7PM at Chapin Auditorium, Mount Holyoke College, in South Hadley, MA. Created and directed by Mark Gionfriddo, who is also onstage as "Matt Morgan", The Big Broadcast!  is a re-creation of a live 1940's radio show featuring the Mount Holyoke College Big Band, Vocal Jazz, and Chamber Jazz Ensembles performing well-known tunes from the swing era and the American songbook. WWLP-TV meteorologist Brian Lapis is emcee "Fred Kelley" for his 10th consecutive season.

Tickets on Sale at AT&T PAC for STORIES FROM LAKE WOBEGON with Garrison Keillor

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today that single tickets for Stories from Lake Wobegon featuring Garrison Keillor will go on sale Friday, February 10 at 10 a.m. One of the most prolific American storytellers of all time, Garrison Keillor, will perform for one night only on Tuesday, May 9 at 8 p.m. at the Winspear Opera House in the downtown Dallas Arts District.
