Syracuse Stage brings a deeply moving and engaging experience with the Tony award-winning (Best Play) show 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,' adapted by Simon Stephens from the original novel by Mark Haddon. 'Curious Incident' is co-produced with the Indiana Repertory Theatre (IRT).

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Alfre Woodard has signed on to join Jon Favreau's big screen remake of Disney's The Lion King. Woodard will provide the voice of Sarabi, Simba's mom.

Penobscot Theatre Company is preparing to stage the second production of Papermaker, by acclaimed Maine author Monica Wood (The One-in-a-Million Boy, We Were the Kennedys). Directed by Daniel Burson (One Blue Tarp), the production will open in previews March 16 and run through April 2, with 14 performances at the historic Bangor Opera House.

Biddeford's City Theater opened its season with a warm, wistful comedy about love and intergenerational relationships in a New Jersey Italian-American family. Joe Di Pietro's 1998 Over the River and Through the Woods is a funny, touching, and often penetrating memoir about ageless conflicts between old and young and the inevitable changes that come in relationships with the changing times. In the City Theater of Biddeford's production, these completely relatable memories come to life with vivid truthfulness.

Stephen Sondheim has immortalized him in song in 'The Ladies Who Lunch' from Company. He's the top, so why aren't his plays easier to figure out? One thing is certain, they provide an emotional workout for the actors involved. Now onstage at the Upstairs theatre at Group rep in NoHo, A Slight Ache is receiving a superb production with exemplary direction from Kevin Dobson and a fine cast of three, who really exercise/exorcise their demons within the 70-minute time.frame.

While you may be primed for seeing the stage version of The Full Monty based on seeing the movie of the same name, you'll be surprised that the stage show presents in depth characters, emotional scenes and true life situations that make great storytelling. The show is loaded with fun musical numbers, creative choreography, and hilarious sight gags from truly absurd situations.

The World Premiere of John Adams full length play The Taste of It, will be presented at Theatre 54 at Shetler Studios, June 7th - 29th. This production is being directed by Alex Levy and produced by Ballybeg.
