Kitchen Theatre Company announces the cast and creative team of The Mountaintop by Katori Hall Ithaca, NY: Kitchen Theatre Company is pleased to announce the cast and creative team for The Mountaintop by Katori Hall, the second play of their 25 th Anniversary Season. The Mountaintop brings director Nicole A. Watson back to Ithaca following the success of her collaboration with writer/performer Darian Dauchan, Black Sheep, which premiered at Kitchen Theatre Company last season. New to Kitchen Theatre Company are actors Landon G. Woodson and Angel Moore.

Woodson will be playing the role of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A graduate of Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts, he has appeared at Medicine Show Theater, MileSquare Theatre Company and recently in Repairing a Nation by Nikkole Salter at Crossroads Theatre Company with performances in August at the renowned Black Theatre Festival in North Carolina. Angel Moore, also a member of the cast of Repairing a Nation with an MFA from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts, recently appeared in San Francisco's Magic Theatre premiere production of And I and Silence by Naomi Wallace. Moore will play Camae, a housekeeper at the Lorraine Motel. The creative team includes three newcomers to Kitchen Theatre Company. Frank Oliva, whose recent work includes the world premieres of Within Reach by Giancarlo Radaz and Strange Weather by Alexa Andreas as well as set designs for Playwrights Horizons, The Acting Company/Guthrie Theatre, Dixon Place and more, is the scenic designer. Also new to Kitchen Theatre Company is lighting designer Nik Robalino, who has designed for Maine State Music Theatre Company and Spindrift Dance Company. Projection designer Brad Peterson has designed for the Broadway production of Fish in the Dark, Stratford Festival, Beijing's National Center for the Performing Arts, Gulfshore Playhouse among many others. Completing the design team is resident sound designer Lesley Greene. The Mountaintop runs at Kitchen Theatre Company from October 11 - 25, 2015. Special events will include post-show talkbacks with the director and Artistic Director on October 11, 13 and 14, an opening night reception with the creative team on October 15, a guest pre-show lecture on October 21, and a post-show talkback with the actors, moderated by WHCU's Lee Rayburn, on October 23.
